Not trying but that Baby (not a descriptor but the strain name) is the last of it's genetic line sooo not really a choice.
Ahhhh.I cant offer any advice there but i think @The Elvis can ,if you have any questions..I read about the coloidal silver and the STS but never seem to find time to do a seed/breed run..I have some Dragon queen regs and some Portal regs set aside for that project( someday)....

@Druid are you trying to restock your auto cross?? are you using CS or STS?

I am indeed, this one came from a f/f crossing and has some nice properties that should stay alive by selfing it. I'm using STS at these amounts:
  • 1L distilled water
  • 0.139g silver nitrate
  • 0,556g sodium thiosulphate
First I sprayed the lower two branches on Saturday, then I sprayed the new nodes on those branches again yesterday(Wednesday). Had they not shot up so quickly I would have waited 7 days but I didn't want to miss the window. The next round of spraying I plan to do on Mon/Tue next week.

I know it's an oxidizer and how it would react with skin so I am using proper lab equipment to produce the solution and violet glass to store it.

Before I started growing I did read a lot and learned as much as I could but noticed now that I am growing.. people leave out a lot of information they might not be concious of or is so self evident to them they don't mention it. So any resources or tips would always be appreciated.

AHAHA So for the last 1.5weeks I've changed my watering/feeding shedule.
As you know I did water/feed every day and everything was peachy. I wanted to see how little I could get away with and went to a 3day shedule.
  1. Water
  2. nope
  3. nope
  4. repeat
Aaaaand I am seeing deficiencies in all my plants. It's starting with redish leaf stalks. They do have enough water.. sure.. but they don't have the regular mineral exchange I used to do with my daily routine. If this happened only to Baby(she always grows colourful I'm told) there would be no problem but it's happening to all of them.

I'm going to be moving to a bi-daily shedule starting tomorrow and a daily one for late flowering plants.

So what I figure is:
  • First 2 weeks: Water/feed every 3rd day
  • Medium Veg to flower start: Water/feed every 2 days
  • High flower: Water/feed daily
That's my hypothesis to being able to cut down fertilizer cost by at least 1/3rd while still maintaining perfectly healthy plants. Tomorrow we shall start the testing of it. First results should be observable within the week.

These routines are of course being used with a modern substrate. For more information on that please consult the threadmarks.

Jack Day 63: Jackaboy here is kiiiindof growing at an unexpected rate. Going by the curve it should cease the spurt in ~8 days so in the next few days I'm going to get my scissors out again and trim away any runty little shoots that won't get anywhere. To give a good bit of space to the bigger bud sites. It's so chaotic in this bush.. I'm already looking forward to the mainlining on the somangos.

Baby Day 35: The good news is that the STS solution works a treat. The bad news is that it's way to mobile inside the plant. By the looks of it the entire plant is turning male now soooo that's a thing.

Somango Day 17: If you have a look at the stalks you can clearly see the beginning stages of calcium deficiency (anthocyan would affect the veins too and nitrogen def. would lighten the leaf saturation) . Apart from that they are growing well; Maybe too well. I still have to get Jack and Baby through an entire flower period to get some space in here.

I'd love to show you the other Somango plant but Jack kinda ate it.

Haha , having a plant growing too well and getting too big is such a problem . ..
