Cookies?

Just thinking of some goodies I already have to run next.
Hell, the seed collection I've put together is almost enough to make it worth not giving up

I think the first place to start is with seeds from Big name breeders and avoid anything with blueberry or GG#4. The thing is I have grown many Blueberry strains and only had one hermie in over 7 years. So I still think you have a stressor in your environment and you are not tracking it yet.

Good breeders breed out bad traits.. If a strain herms because of an environment change in a tent, those are weak and poorly bred genetics. Good breeders stress test their stock and that eliminates herm genes and many other unwanted traits. For example, Mephistos 4 Assed Monkey is a GG4 cross and I have never seen reports of it herming.. Dutch Passion has a world renown blueberry auto that doesn't herm. I don't think 'Novice' has mentioned the breeder yet.. I'm curious to know who made, and is selling all these seeds that keep herming.. For both the photo periods and the autos.

After years of discrete closet grow with no major problems, I got legal (my state's laws recently changed) got an 8x4 tent and started growing in that at the beginning of February.
6 Plants. Photos. All hermied.
I checked everywhere for light leaks. You can indeed see light from the outside through tiny pinholes in the zipper and some at the corners. However, I have zipped myself up in there and literally can't see an inch in front of my eye. Looks like total darkness to me.

Now I had 8 autos looking absolutely beautiful and almost ready.. Went to water them, probably the last watering of the flush for 5 or 6 out of the 8 (A couple looked like they needed a little extra time) and saw what I thought was a seed in a bud right in front of my eyes.

Sure enough. They ALL hermed. And bad. FULL of seeds. I'm sick to my stomach. I'm giving that tent away. Whether it's the tents fault or not, every plant I've grown in that tent is a hermie, and every plant I've grown elsewhere has NOT been a hermie, so I want nothing to do with that tent. lol

I really had a passion. My friends who grow are actually envious that my buds come out looking so amazing. But what's the point if there is more seeds than Mexican brick weed? I'm truly heartbroken. Nearly 8 months (counting both runs of hermies) of blood, sweat and tears down the drain.

I guess I needed to vent. I really feel like giving up. It's almost a relief to not have to put all of my energy and love into plants that just break my heart at the very end.

My first grow I lost my whole crop to root rot and started over. My 2nd grow hermied half way in flower so I chopped it down and started over. My first 2 grows I was growing photos in dwc hydro. I learned allot of mistakes. I was about to give up and the online growing community convinced me to not give up. I kept at it and havent had a bad experience since. Get rid of the tent or clean the crap out of it. Keep trying. Dont give up. It can be frustrating at times but its just a plant. You can grow it homie. If I can do it so can you. Ask for help on here when needed. That's why we're here, were all fam here! Good luck and happy growing

1x Barney's Farm Ayahuasca Purple
2x Barney's farm Blue Gelato 41
2x Ethos Grape Bubba - One of these was some of the best smoke I've ever grown and I lucked out because it had the fewest seeds out of the bunch

Run 2 all Autos
2x Advanced Seeds Blue Diesel autos
3x Blimburn GG#4 Autos
3x Exotic Seeds Monster Mash autos

Ahhh.. Most of those are borderline cringe imo, one (ethos) is certified cringe and known for herms and stolen genetics. I've never ran gear from any of the breeders listed, and wouldn't ever.. Not worth the risk in my opinion. Did ALL of your plants herm or did one plant herm and seed all the others? Did you find pollen sacs on all of the plants?

The other thing we have not talked about is the possibility of a wind born pollination from up wind? I know three miles is not too far for pollen to travel and have heard reports of 12 miles? Do you live where they grow hemp?

The plants were not regularly checked for naners.( i might be completely wrong).
So they may have self pollenated.
Maybe not.
