A SEALED grow room!
The area outside your tent in the room is now your lung room . You control the temperature and humidity in your lung room and you adjust your exhaust fan in the tent to control the environment in the tent.
This means closing the Heating and AC vent, I further sealed it by taping it. Air conditioning is supplied by a window unit or a two pipe portable ac. Heating can be from a simple radiator style hot oil heater. Your humidifier and dehumidifier are in the lung room.
Using a central ac system, single pipe portable ac or venting the tent directly outside, will all bring different condition air into your grow room. It will make your dehumidifier or humidifier needlessly work more.
I have grown in two different rooms in my home. I first started in my walk in closet. My walk in closet is quite large and even has a central ac vent in it. The vent got sealed off. I installed a vent in the ceiling for the one pipe portable AC. Once in the attic I ran the piping over to one of the and soffits. This would bring in the air from the rest of the house, since venting the ac put a negative pressure on the room. It worked exactly the same when I moved the grow room to a second bedroom. This time the event for the portable one pipe AC system was in the window.
That portable ac only lasted roughly 2 years. The failure caused me to rethink things. I could've got another portable AC but a 2 pipe style, so that it's not causing a negative pressure in the room and I'm not bringing air into the grow room . In reality a window unit was a much cheaper option and no need for a drain line for the condensation. A window unit is also less suspicious than some vent in the window.
Instead of just having one 4x4 tent in the grow room, I also have a 2X4 tent and a 3x3 tent. I set my temperature and humidity for the grow room and adjust each exhaust fan to get the optimal temperature and humidity in that particular tent. To keep the air in the grow room more consistent, my ceiling fan is always running and I have a floor fan to circulate the air in the room. Both contribute to extremely stable conditions in the lung room. I can easily tell when I have left one or both of those fans off.
Naturally you're going to have circulation fans in the tents, but I believe in air flow with a constant influx of fresh air from the lung room. I have my smart AC Infinity fan set to a base exhaust, with temperature and humidity settings that will increase the air flow once those parameters have been exceeded. My temperatures and humidity inside my tents are rock stable!!
For the most part, the only time I have to change settings is during different stages of growth of the plant.
I have embraced AC Infinity with their smart controllers, smart fans, smart plugs , light adapters and humidifier. I control all of them with the AC Infinity app and also my window unit with its separate app . I have all the controI need in my hand with my phone. With my secure network, I can also check in on my tense and control the environment any place that I can get a signal on my phone.
The point is I can maintain a extremely stable environment for growing my plants without a whole lot of tweaking. It makes daily life growing cannabis a whole lot easier!
