New Grower Hope She's Gentle. It's My First Time! - Think Different

I read somewhere that light at ground level is about 5k lumens per square foot, more like double that at the equator. Not terribly relevant, but a fun fact all the same ;-)

Ya my light meter says the sun in Colorado is 7k lumens. Another fun fact lol.....Your TD is looking awesome!!! looks like mine @ 3 weeks!!!

Bandit, I'm at a little ovef 15 days.your makin me impatient with me girls. Like the lush green on those leaves. Lookin great.

Wow, coming from a senior member, that compliment feels real good, and it means a lot! To be honest, though, without the help of other members like Trapper50cal and Medi, just to name a few because there is a lot of others, I'd never be sitting where I'm at with that sexy little TD I have growing. This AFN family is the best! Hands down, no other site can compete with these guys on here. The camaraderie, willingness to help, and level of knowledge allows total newbs like me to get deep in the game.

LOL!!!!! The worrying bit is starting to subside, isn't it? That looks terrific man.....:)

RE:pH - You are in range....small adjustments are all that's needed....you'd much rather be at 6.8 than 5.4.....

Small, incremental changes....maybe buffer down to 6.0 instead of 6.2...that sorta thing. ;)

If you need to give the fan a break, do it during the coolest part of the day

Good work, man!

LOL! Yeah, the anxiety is starting to taper off a bit. It's still there, but it's not as bad, and I'm able to manage it a bit more. I actually decided to do just that, and give the fan a rest period late at night when it's coolest, instead of 30 minute increments every 2.5 hours. Thanks again for the assistance, Trap. I can only imagine what she'd look like with out all the help I've been getting with her.

Day 17
Height: 7"
Temp Range: 76.6° - 92.5°
Humidity Range: 37% - 52%

Nothing much to report today, except she appears to have grown another inch and some change since yesterday. She's looking real good, and is definitely giving off a not so subtle smell when I take her out to let her set in the sunlight for a few hours. It's not super strong, but she does make her presence known! I can't wait to see what she's smelling like when she's in full bloom! uploadfromtaptalk1404084676140.jpguploadfromtaptalk1404084692050.jpg

That sun hardening is making her stronger, I imagine....and she's getting nice growth spurts. :)

Looks like she's at the identical stage of development as my Dark Devil at day 17....

Day 18
Height: 8"
Temp Range: 75.7° - 92.5°
Humidity Range: 34% - 53%

Woke up today to a not so happy looking plant, and although I'm determined not to panick, I'd be lying if I said I'm not very concerned. Two of her leaves appear to have some type of damage/discoloration, and another two appear to be showing some burn. I'm mostly concerned about the leaf damage/discoloration issue, as I have no idea how the damage could've possibly happened. The whole plant in, in general, appears to be droopy and not as perky as she usually is when I first look at her in the morning. As usual, if anyone has any input, please feel free to chime in with any advice.

Is there any way u can control thoses temps to under 85F?

Is there any way u can control thoses temps to under 85F?

Been trying to, but having a helluva time doing so. The temps dip into the low 90's for about 20 minutes every 2.5 hours because of the way I have to have the exhaust set up. It's on for 2.5 hours, at which time the temps will hover between the mid 70's to mid 80's, then it will cut off for half an hour, and this is the time that the temps climb. She's not exposed to high heat for much, and she seems to have been handling it well so far. Gotta keep the exhaust on that type of cycle so it isn't running 24/7, which my fiancé is overly concerned about

It's so early that it's hard to make out, but based solely on location I'd ask you what you're feeding, how much, and how often?

It could be an overwater issue as well.. like medi said it's hard to tell atm.

Are you using a variable speed control on your ventilation fan? Why can't you run the fan at low speed constantly when it's hottest? I've had success doing this although it's mild where I live.
