Well, I am finally going to do a grow journal. I have been a member for a little over a year now, and that is the extent of my autoflower experience. I have grown photos for a number of years both indoors and outdoors. I am just finishing up my 4th indoor grow for the year, Sweet Seeds Red Poison (no red, all green):slaps: So 36 hours ago I put two Bomb Seeds THC Bomb beans into a shot glass of water, and today the beans had sprouted, so I planted them in their final pots. Here is a rundown on my set-up.

2'x4'x5' Lighthouse Hydro Tent

4" carbon filter w/220 cfm fan

2- 6" oscillating circulation fans

3 gallon self watering pots that I adapted so I can pump air in through the bottom, through the soilless mix, and out the top of the pot.

I start my seedlings off under two 200/40 cfl's until my tent opens up (I always start a new crop when I start cleansing/flushing the old crop). From there it's into the tent under six 2 ft t5ho. I just ordered an old style MarsHydro 300 LED (they're so inexpensive now, how could I not buy one, $76.00 delivered from MarsHydro) and will be switching to the LED for flowering. First time with LED, so may need some coaching when the time comes.

Promix soilless mix with perlite added at 1/3 perlite 2/3 promix. I added 4 grams/gallon aluminum sulfate to bring my initial pH down to about 6.7 or 6.8.

Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice 2 part grow and bloom, Voodoo, B52, Big Bud, Bud Candy, Overdrive, CalMag Plus, and General Hydroponics FloroClean. May try some Piranah for this grow, have to get it ordered.

I prep my soilless mix with 1/8X base nutes, 2 ml/liter Voodoo, and 1 ml/liter B52. I feed from day 1 with 1/8X the first week, 1/4X the second week, 3/8X the third week, 1/2X the fourth week and beyond. The soil supplements I run at 1X and any nutrient/vitamin supplments I run at 1/2X. This is my general guidelines, but I do not hesitate to change to fit what the plant is telling me.

I SCROG my two plants together into one screen, so it helps to have two of the same phenotypes. This has only happened once for me with some Vision Seeds White Widow. THC Bomb is supposed to be a fairly stable strain, so hoping for two same phenos.

My last couple of grows has been yielding about 3oz/plant dried and cured. I feel like I am getting things dialed in, hence feeling confident enough to do this journal. My grows have all ran over 100 days, I think the starting with CFL and using SCROG technique may lengthen things out for me. I'm OK with this time frame.

I will try to get weekly pics, no promises but I will try. No pics today, as I'm sure everyone has seen pics of a germinated seed and an empty pot waiting for emergance.

More later.:peace:

Well the site is back up and in action, so I will update this journal over the next few hours and get everything caught up. Both girls popped out of the soil on April 25 about 8 hours apart, so this will be day 1 for both plants.

Here are pics of my girls on Day 2.

I gave them just a little trickle of the 1/8X grow, 2ml/l Voodoo, and 1 ml/l B52 pH adjusted to 6.3, every day for the first 3 or 4 days, then gave them a full drenching until runoff.

My pots are self-watering via a wick system incorporated into a false perforated bottom. I use this feature the first couple of weeks to ensure a steady even moisture throughout my growing medium. So for this first drenching, I just left the runoff in the bottom to be wicked up into my medium as needed. I will drench again when everything in the bottom has been wicked up. After the first couple of weeks, after drenching, I will suck the runoff out from the bottom via a small battery powered pump, then leave the bottom dry so the medium moisture will begin to fluctuate. I also drilled a small hole just big enough to force air tubing through into the area under the false bottom where the liquid to feed the wick is stored. By putting duct tape over the hole built into the pot to allow liquid to be added to the bottom, and hooking up an air pump to the tubing, I can super-oxygenate (I may have just made up a word) :crying: the medium by constantly forceing air up through out the top. I think it makes alot of sense and I think it helps my grows. I will get some pictures of the pot set up as soon as I get my Red Poisions chopped and the pots cleaned up.

May 9 - Day 14

Have left my nutes at 1/8X into the second week because they were really dark green and appeared to be doing fine on 1/8 strength (1/2 ml/l of grow base A & B + 2 ml/l voodoo, + 1/2 ml/l B52, pH to 6.3). Today the girls are starting to look a little yellowish, so I upped the nutes to 1/4X (1 ml/l of grow base A&B, 2 ml/l Voodoo, 1 ml/l B52, pH 6.3). Grey pot took 5 pts till runoff, Green Pot took 4 1/2 pints till runoff.

Here are day 14 pics.

Here are some pics of the pot setup I use.
Here is the pot with the false bottom removed. You can see the 3 support posts formed into the bottom of the pot to rest the false bottom on. The hole through the side is for adding liquid under the false bottom to soak the wick. By putting duct tape over the fill hole and drilling a small hole and adding a line from an air pump. Air is constantly being forced up through the medium, thus maximizing Root/Air interaction.

5/10

pH via Accurate 8

Grey Pot 6.3
Green Pot 6.4

I no longer depend at all on the testing your runoff to calculate your medium pH. A wild guess at best in my exerience. After getting the A8, I tried to determine some type of correlation between the two, but the runoff thing is a joke. In my opinion.
