High Chuck, thanks for taking a look at my journal. I like the pot system. I utilize the wick only the first couple of weeks or when I am going to be away for several days, otherwise, I pump the resevoir empty after feeding to runoff, then the medium moisture content will fluctuate which is needed. I have done a grow using the wick throughout the grow and ended up with pH problems because of no runoff to clean out the excess salts. An extra flushing or two and the system works. I like that even when not keeping the resevoir full, the positive air pressure forces all the air up through the medium.

Ahh I see what you are talking about forsure need to flush with chem nutes. Also I heard just letting them dry was good for root structures how true that holds I dont know. I have never came across a system like this so I will forsure be watching you close

Started LST on both plants.

Fed mix of:
8 ml/gallon Grow A
8 ml/gallon Grow B
4 ml/gallon B52
4 ml/gallon CaMg+

pH of mix was 6.5 so left good enough alone.
Starting water had ppm of 85, final mix ppm of 985, so nutes at 900 ppm.

Fed Grey Pot 8 pints and recovered 2 1/2 pints runoff
pH of runoff 6.0, ppm 1134

Fed Green Pot 8 pints and recovered 3 pints runoff
pH of runoff 6.1, ppm 1135

Mixed nutes 1/2X
8 ml/gallon Grow A
8 ml/gallon Grow B
4 ml/gallon B52
4 ml/gallon CaMg+
pH = 6.2
ppm = 894

Both pots got 7 1/2 pints feed in:
Green pot gave 4 pts runoff at pH 5.9 and ppm 1132
Grey pot gave 4 pts runoff at pH 5.8 and ppm 1136

Removed the T5 light and replaced with MarsHydro 300 old style LED. LED is about 24 inches from plants. Do you LED users think this is far enough away from the plants? I am complete newbie to LED.
