My card was charged a different amount than my order. About $4 more.
Plus the charge was not to any of the names Seedsman said it was going to be.

What a cluster. I should have known better than to buy from a company I can't contact. UGH.
Now I guess I need to void my credit card?
It's on hold now.

ON EDIT
I found a way to contact Seedsman.

Anyone else have this issue?

Here's what I'm gonna do.
Cancel.

Lesson learned.

Aw that sucks. I’ve had fraudulent charges on my account 3x in the past year. Like wtf? Each time I have to cancel the card, then pay in cash for a week while I wait for the replacement. Currently waiting on a replacement now.

I don’t know if my online purchases are exposing my info, or if it’s local shops/gas stations, but It sure sucks and I wish people would earn their own money and stop trying to steal mine.

In hindsight I should have just sent cash. So much simpler.
It's probably good to change credit card numbers now and then by canceling and getting a new one. I'll take this opportunity to do that.

Seedsman is 100% insecure to order from in my opinion.

Seedsman will send you your password when you do a password reset.

This should never happen.

Your password should never be stored. They should store a hash that they can reference to see if what you enter matches your original password. Otherwise, if someone gets into seedsman's data they have everyones email and password that they can then go try on other sites (like your bank etc.)

It has been an industry standard for nearly a decade now to do things this way, and if they are lax on security in one way, they probably are lax in others.

When they sent me back my pw a while back, I cleared all my info out and ran for the hills.

Just found out from my credit card people the transaction did go through.
I'm awaiting word from Seedsman if it was them considering the labelling of, and amount of, the transaction differed than what Seedsman said they were via email.

Card is still frozen and I'm going to get another one as soon as I hear back.

What a mess.

UPDATE

Just received word from Seedsman that my order did indeed go through. That's the good part.

The fact remains though that the vendor name on my statement and the amount were different on my credit card statement than what they sent me on my reciept.

I would not use a credit card with them again.

I'm canceling that card today and getting another anyway as a precaution.

As a precaution, I would also go in and clear out your name, address etc. And change your password to something you will not use again.

Shouldn't I wait until the order has shipped first?

Prepaid CC are the way to go with any seed purchase. You can reload from debit and never have to worry again.
