Heat when processing buds

I don't agree with that one only makes rosin with a multi ton press... (watch from 12.25 for the pressing) This is truly old school pressing.

Yea that's true.....A press can be used just to simply compress the hash into a block like in that video. That wasn't even on my mind lol, I had forgotten about that being done.

Talking about a press and hash, I was just naturally thinking about a rosin press lol....I wasn't even thinking about how hash used to be pressed into blocks like that.

While watching that video I kept waiting to see some rosin ooze out, thinking they were preparing the hash it to be pressed into rosin lol, then I realized they weren't pressing for rosin and were just pressing it to make it into a block.

Cool video though!...I always enjoy seeing anything related to cannabis from around the world and how it's part of different cultures and the way things have been in different parts of the world done for ages.

.

I agree that the end result is two different kinds of hash. What Frenchy is after with the hot bottle is how they make hash in Afghanistan...

Edit: Damn age restrictions...

Fook me, They are two dam good videos. Especially the one where he processed it with his hands and feet. The amount of heat used was incredible and the final product looked amazing. I am definitely going to give that a go soon.

My first attempt at a temple ball several months ago/ Still haven't smoked it. I used Frenchie's wine bottle method and final rolled on a piece of glass.

They say that after a while (ie, two months to a couple of years!!) inside the temple ball the chemistry changes, but I haven't got that far. :dizzy:
It was gone b4 I knew it ;)

I have just YouTubed Frenchies video. I didn’t know about him....Very informative :kitty:
That guy is a hash making god. In his younger years he went from Tunesia, Marocco all the way up through Afghanistan. Then to Pakistan, India and ended up in Tibet. Or was it the way around? In either case if you want to make good Hash you'll want to watch up on his Youtube video's.
If you're State side you'll even be able to follow some of his classes although they are 'oh la la' expensive :shooty:

I haven't touched any of them I made. I've got 'em in all sizes. The one in the pic is my smallest one. They all have a very hard outer crust/shell. Just experimenting with size. I think I'm gonna finish up sometime this week with running the last of my fresh froze HBSS and take the first shakes from both runs and TRY to make one big temple ball, but it really may be too much. I got over 100g total last night and used a little less than half of the material. I should get better first shake production with what I learned with this really frosty and STICKY bud.

I think I’m going to have to go through all his videos one by one.

Does anybody know if you have to dry the bud or is it better to use fresh bud when using the dry ice method?

Use dry bud unless you have access to a freeze dryer.
