Hey Hazy some shit happend to me yesterday mate. I was in my LST mode again and pulled down the tip of the main stem to the max and that shit snappet right off before the last node and was hanging down on a tiny thread. I grabbed some duck tape straight away and placed the top node back on the stem and wrapped it with the tape tightly. I thought that the top will die off for sure, but now 24 hours later the top is still alive and all the leaves are standing and not drooping. I have no picture because I'm scared to take her out and risk further damage to the top. Im truly amazed that the top is still alive because it was really hanging down on a tiny thread. Do you think I should leave the duck tape on the stem untill harvest or do I have to take it off eventually because I wrapped it around with the tape pretty tight and it will probably get even tighter and cut off the circulation within the stem when the stem heals and a knot builds where the break point was? On the pictures of broken stems that you posted, I see that the breaking point turns into a know when the plant heals. Do you still remember approximately how long it takes for this knot to build? I just don't know whether the knot will adjust itself under the duck tape or will there be risk of the duck tape cuting out the circulation as the healing knot develops. I hope I was able to explain what I mean.
Please give some advice if you can mate.
@Autoflower Noob Sorry to hear about your accident … leave the tape on for about a week, if it's going to heal it should have done it by then, got my fingers crossed for you.
