New Grower Lessons Learned- Night Queen Auto

I week later into flowering. Lady I’m the back of tent it still behind the two features in images but I believe will be my best plant for sure. Has loads of bud sights filling up as we speak.

Seeing a few more leaves change colors being consumed for flower production. Nutrients and water are steady at 4 ml micro grow bloom about .75 gallon every 3rd day.

I think I’ll leave them for at least another week and progress report. Have a micro now to view trichomes later tonight.
Looking good, Closet! Yeah you are doing the right thing keeping an eye on the trichomes. When you do, you want to view them on various buds from different stems of the plant. That way you get a better overall look at the plant.

Interested to see where the trichs are. I would say half clear half cloudy. Let me know if I am right.

So I will be taking a second attempt later of viewing the trichomes. It proved to be quite difficult to use the microscope. I read some people take a bit of plant matter off then look under the microscope this is what I will try.

I will also be using the brown paper bag drying method inside grow room. I am ready to go now just waiting for more development.

Have seen many say that they use dying leaves as first point of reference. If that holds true I still have quite a bit of life left in these ladies.

I’m thinking based off your inputs and searching the forum that I will continue with nutrients the rest of this week, then start feeding plain water for about another week before hopefully chopping.

I am excited also to have more space to work with and give the 3rd plant better light to maximize potential.

I wonder how people are able to hang their lights so high in grow tents? Like it would be great if I could have one large panel up top and not worry about spacing or coverage. I imagine those lights are much more powerful than mine? I’m only pulling about 220 watts true power for “3000w” output.

Or maybe the edges of my tent are getting more light then I think and I should stop worrying. Trying to balance keeping everything directly under lights and giving them room to breathe/grow.

Yep. Just watch the trichomes. That will tell you what you need to know. I use a small $8 macro lens that attaches to my phone. When I turn up the magnifier on the phone, it works great. No need to take off precious buds!

I like using smaller single lights where you can adjust the lights for each plants needs. Lots of those out there and they cost about $100 per light. Good for 65-75 watts per plant.

Right on. I can’t get this dam microscope to work properly so I might need to try something else.

But I guess that’s also essentially what I’m doing now I just need to supplement with a few more. Just adjusted plants and lights a bit ago actually check the full tent out.

A weeks time has passed. And oh how these girls have been maturing into fine young women!

Decided to go ahead and chop one today had no issues really took me about an hour to finish. 160 grams trimmed wet spread out in two paper bags sitting in front of AC vent now.

I am letting the others go at least 1-2 weeks. To compare the effects of smoke and also additional yield gained. We shall see. But this stuff is beautiful, at least I think so. Super sticky and dank smelling.

Next update may be plant [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] funeral as well as initial smoke report without cure on today’s harvest.

Much love flower fam.

Jarred up at just under %70 Rh. Probably going to have to keep burping and/or go back into bags a bit not sure yet.

Weight now is 35 grams so just over an ounce. Burned 1 and I can confirm that it is strong phew. But am looking forward to getting that wonderful smell back and more complex taste profile. Any experience to share on your curing protocol or bud changing smell/look/effects from here?

Have some Boveda 62 packs coming via amazon soon. Will be trying those in jars with these tiny hygrometers I also purchased. Each jar is almost perfect for a half ounce, hygro, and Boveda pack.

Thinking about trying bigger jars also what size do y’all use?

Hey Closet, congrats on your harvest man! You will enjoy the smoke better than you have any bud! Now, you should let those buds dry out more in paper bags to where they are around 62% before you jar. After wards, keep opening the jars and airing out the weed a few times a day for the first week, and then once a day for another week. There isn't a good sticky thread on curing in the indoor section.

Enjoy, man!

[HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] still stacking she is slow and steady that’s for sure. Germinated on 5/3 she is approaching 16 weeks.

I have been holding out it’s like watching paint dry!

Other autos are going to be close to harvest in half the time legitimately. Californian snow is at 8 weeks with a fucking softball top cola. Leaning tower of buds.

Y’all ever have a slow stubborn plant ? It’s sad I think it still hasn’t even swelled up and don’t want to harvest early.
