Grow Mediums Happy's first DWC grow.

Happy, if you're not going back to organics, Dutch Master Zone is what I've been using and have had absolutely no issues with slime. My res runs consistently around 75f most days and no problems at all.

Hi there DWCocha. Nope I've actually a 200 Litre capacity flexi tank. The flexi tank has a pump in it which continually recirculates water from the tank into the chiller back into the tank again. The 8 x 15 Litre water capacity DWC buckets are hooked up to an 80 Litre per minute air pump.

I've some insulation arriving as we speak for my DWC pots so the water temperature will be a continuous 18c or about 65f, so nice and cool, plus loads of oxygen and circulation. So I think that's all good.

Air temps are about 20-27c and humidity is still low (still waiting on this darn fogger, which should arrive tomorrow).

I've got 5 Litres of 17.5% H2O2 and in the near future I'm going to start using UC ROOTS when that comes into the UK. So the place is going to be completely dialled in and completely sterile.

Here's a picture of it... might help you picture what it looks like better - just the RDWC system (made by a company called IWS)

Looks good Fish. I was looking at this before but I can't seem to source Dutch Master in my part of the world. I'm guessing you're from somewhere close to the USA. I'm over in UK / EU area and I haven't seen a supplier of Dutch Master here anywhere. If anyone knows of one let me know.

Thanks Dude!

So you use this stuff yourself yea? Can you tell me all about your experience with it please? Also have you ever tried that Liquid Light product they make? I've heard that crop up before here and there on internet discussions.

One foliar feed I do use that I've noticed noticable good result from is plant magic - evolution. It gives the plants a growth spurt boost for 2-3 days. You're only supposed to use it once a week. It's not cheap at about £16.60p/l but still to me it worth it considering the extra growth I get from it.

No sir, never tried any of their other products, just the Zone. It's an anti-fungal (anti-funk!) that's added to the res and does a great job keeping out the creeping crud. Personally, I use 5 ml in a 3 gal DWC bucket; a slightly aggressive mix because of my temps.

Have to agree TX :Sharing One:ran out of zym a few weeks ago & tried the zone again ... minimal dose just for prevention & its great .Super clean res & roots .Always use the silica & thats great too ...plus there potash is very good for bloom .

 for DutchMasters from me "AFN smoke out"

I got the clue on Zone while reading Spelsylver's tea for DWC thread...
