Indoor Growing Scrog

What's holding me back from going full retard on this method is the pH. Currently if I add Megacrop, or Floranova to my tap water it comes out perfect. I don't think I'm disciplined enough to check and adjust pH every time. maybe if I can get it to a set correction, like 'add 4 drops of down everytime'

My brain needs set systems.
Switch to RO filtered water with MegaCrop.

I and others have reported, and GreenLeaf Nutrients has confirmed, MegaCrop with its fully chelated nutes (like Adv. Nutr. pH Perfect) works very well with RO (or equivalent) water without any need for adjustment, it essentially self-buffers. I have used MegaCrop 2-part with RO water and haven't even checked pH for years. But it may not be this simple (no pH adjustment) if you are storing feed in a reservoir{?}.

Followup, just schwazzzed and flipped to flower today! Really looking forward to seeing how this develops :cools:

They look good @LibreLoud.
Is there any way you can tighten your net by tying off to your green tent expanders and pulling your canopy down even further?

Day 54. ( 750 ppm, 6.0 pH, 550 ppfd, 45-50 dli, 24/7. Auto fertigating 10 mins every 3 hrs. )

Her main stem and two others grew thick and woody very fast.
Main stem is now thicker than a 10¢ cigar, and rigid as an oak tree.
I broke one stem after a lot of careful massage -- it was just too woody.
So for the moment I've nursed the stems to almost horizontal over time,
with exception of the main. And still trying to keep the tops down with my
crude double net and some plant ties. Best I'm going to do, this round.
My guess is, still, that I'm used to giving the seedlings and just after,
too much light, so there isn't much stretch, because the plant doesn't see the need.
But that's just a guess, and will do it differently next grow and see what happens.
I've never had an auto take this many days in veg, so that's a plus for sure. And the roots
will possibly make their way into the next room sometime soon. They've found
the reservoir and seem to be enjoying it. 🙂

Good job keeping those tops down @Mongoose.
If that’s the main top in the back do your best to keep that one down.
I think she’ll be quite impressive after her stretch and when she starts stacking.
She definitely has potential to be a high yielding auto if you just keep doing what you’re doing. .
Plenty of nodes to work with brother!

Harvested 2 out of 3 of these ladies last week on Day 101.
Gave the late bloomer ~one more week.

Thanks again to brother and sensei @420autoflower for sharing and helping out.

For my next grow, I'm aiming to spread them out more—it got too dense deep inside my "canopy bush," which resulted in some underdeveloped, not top-shelf buds inside. Lack of light penetration I'd say. Will try to improve it next run.
I may even try out to not flattening them out at all—just go for a real bushy plant and heavy Schwazzing. Not sure yet.

Impressive @greenauto!! :worship:
That’s a dense ass canopy brother! Wall to wall colas!
Overhead shots look fantastic!
I make it a habit to strip all the foliage down below to maximize my under canopy lighting. Very time consuming but worth the extra effort.
Thanks 420!
Disappointing results so far with this grow, mine hasn't performed well. She started to show pistils at day 23, 11 days later I super cropped and put on the net.

Day 47.

Sorry about your early flower Bro!
Scratching my head as to why she triggered so quick.
What is your fertigating schedule like?

2 months in flower expires in a few days....

So my flowers started growing again after about 2 - 3 weeks of some degree of nutes lockout.

Anyway lessons learned for next time

Thinking about flushing them for a couple of days soon.

......

That veg plant on the side is a 2 month photoperiod that ill be putting on tent on its own in in a couple of weeks when I get it free

Glad you got it figured out @MN8484!
Always good to maintain a healthy reservoir.
Big difference in cola size since the last time you posted bro. :d5:

Thanks 420! Funny you bring it up, my fertigation schedule was 5 times a day for 1 minute (350mls) each time after day 23, and I kept it like that until day 33, when I switched it to 5 times a day for 15 minutes each. At first, I was worried about overwatering.

That might have been the problem bro.

Aerial view, main stem is at 11:00 o'clock. More questions ...

1. I trim and add tie-downs every day to keep all stems in the light.
Should I do a more thorough defoliation now, including removing the large fan leaves on the perimeter?

2. When is it time to let the tops turn upward? When she has full pistils?

Thank you!!

Question: I've been fertigating every 3 hours, 8 minutes each time, with a 3/8" hose and
flow rate pretty strong -- any stronger it would shoot past the top of the block. 750ppm.
Is this sufficient?
I’m feeding some of my biggest autos every 5 hours so every 3 hours is more than enough.

You can start letting all the smaller nodes grow vertical in the middle of your canopy but try to hold all the tops down on the main branches a little longer to help divert the energy to the smaller nodes.

She might end up looking similar to this after she finishes stretching and stacking.

Hey 420, in regards to that 3# badge was that an outdoor plant? I searched the journals pretty good and couldn't find that grow.I didn't think anyone was gonna grow one bigger than Gonjamottos plant.Cheers.
Hello @wangotango321!
The 3lb badge was given to me for the 3.5 Autoseeds.com Acapulco Gold I grew in the 2023 Autoseeds.com Summer Grow&Show. The THC Bomb Auto from Bomb Seeds that I grew last summer was even bigger.
