Indoor Growing Scrog

Harvested 2 out of 3 of these ladies last week on Day 101.
Gave the late bloomer ~one more week.

Thanks again to brother and sensei @420autoflower for sharing and helping out.

For my next grow, I'm aiming to flatten them out more—it got too dense deep inside my "canopy bush," which resulted in some underdeveloped, not top-shelf buds inside. Lack of light penetration I'd say. Will try to improve it next run.
I may even try out to not flattening them out at all—just go for a real bushy plant and heavy Schwazzing. Not sure yet.

Beautiful results.

Thank you Brother Tom! :d5:

Just trying to catch up with you buddy! :rolleyes1:

Thanks Tristan!
The lights work pretty good for only $49 each.
How are you plants coming along? They should be close to filling in your tent soon.
Thanks 420!
Disappointing results so far with this grow, mine hasn't performed well. She started to show pistils at day 23, 11 days later I super cropped and put on the net.

Day 47.

Sorry it hasn't gone great for you Tristan. Wasn't going to mention this, but with 'you never know' in mind, regard my second plant, on the right. Exactly the same conditions since day 1. These are the 7th and 8th plants I've grown, and I've had 2 midgets. Very frustrating. 😵‍💫
( Edit: My next grow will be two Dutch Passion Auto Glueberry O.G. Seeds have arrived. )

What strain are you growing?I would think with this grow method XXL open structure hybrid plants would work best. I dunno.Hopefully @420autoflower could shed some light on this. (pun intended) 🙏
Edit to add. After looking closer at how you're watering with those 4 lines are right at the stalk I'm betting the water's going straight down and leaving that big block pretty dry.Better off stacking 6 or 8's and using the cap that covers the whole block.

For whatever it's worth, I've been fertigating with 3/8" hoses aimed directly at the main stem, every 3 hours for 10 minutes, and the roots of both plants are growing heavily out three sides of the grodan 6" blocks and down into the reservoirs. The 6" blocks at their tops are always moist. I don't know.

Thanks, Mongoose! This strain's phenos can definitely be small, have always had a lot of frost and is a real sweet strawberry terpy flavour.
. Hope your next round with the Glueberry O.G. turns out better! For my next grow, I’m looking forward to trying a Lilac Diesel Auto from Ethos again—got a few leftover beans from my last run.

Hey Wangotango, I’m growing Strawberry Clouds from Blowout. My last grow with this strain had low yields aswell, but I think this one was always going to be more of an experiment. Next auto I’m running with 420's method is a Lilac Diesel from Ethos—looking forward to a large, vigorous plant stacked with big ol' flowers. You’re right about those lines. I should move a couple to other spots on the block to improve watering. Appreciate the tips 🙂

Appreciate that, Mongoose. I noticed the roots in your res tank—looks like it’s working well for you. I might try increasing the watering frequency and see how the blocks handle it. Next time, I’ll try making a cap for the blocks to help with moisture and prevent algae growth from light exposure. Had some algae growing on the top of the 6-inch block, so I cut it off. Always good to swap ideas and see what’s working.

It's cool to see some success scrogging Autos. Nice work!
For what it's worth here is my experience.
My first time scrogging didn't work out to well. I tried using a net with 9 plants in a 5x5. I didn't realize at the time that I should have used all the same cultivar. As I grow and learn I found that you should use the same cultivar and use an f-5 or better.
I tried again and used F-9 plants, and they were closer in size and shape for most of the grow. Multiple plants in a bed (Tray to Grow). One plant overshadowed another towards the end but for the most part they grew identically.
A sativa dominant plant may have been a better choice. they usually grow taller which is good for scrogging.
Cloning would be the best option but good luck with that. I don't think it is impossible if you really got the skills.
I was thinking of revisiting the scrog. Maybe this spring.

I've always done horizontal training of one sort or another.

What's holding me back from going full retard on this method is the pH. Currently if I add Megacrop, or Floranova to my tap water it comes out perfect. I don't think I'm disciplined enough to check and adjust pH every time. maybe if I can get it to a set correction, like 'add 4 drops of down everytime'

My brain needs set systems.

2 months in flower expires in a few days....

So my flowers started growing again after about 2 - 3 weeks of some degree of nutes lockout.

Anyway lessons learned for next time

Thinking about flushing them for a couple of days soon.

......

That veg plant on the side is a 2 month photoperiod that ill be putting on tent on its own in in a couple of weeks when I get it free
