Indoor Growing Scrog

Couple of close-up photo follow-ups to show off the aggressive knuckling and HST bends, I feel like it went really well! Didn't end up breaking or tearing off any branches, my bends didn't snap the stem open anywhere. Took about 15 minutes total!

My plan is to let them grow horizontally for almost a month while my flower tent finishes out and empties out. Around new years I'll be moving these ladies from a 2x4 tent to their final home 5x5 tent, I'll probably continue scrogging for 1-4 more weeks in their new home before flipping them to flower.

I'm hoping the timing ends up working out, I'm sure it'll be a big hassle to move these to a bigger tent and rescrog in a few weeks. Might take some clones in a week or two as a way to slow/cull progress :cools:
Followup, just schwazzzed and flipped to flower today! Really looking forward to seeing how this develops :cools:

Thanks again 420, they look super happy under those lights 🙂
Thanks Tristan!
The lights work pretty good for only $49 each.
How are you plants coming along? They should be close to filling in your tent soon.

Day 54. ( 750 ppm, 6.0 pH, 550 ppfd, 45-50 dli, 24/7. Auto fertigating 10 mins every 3 hrs. )

Her main stem and two others grew thick and woody very fast.
Main stem is now thicker than a 10¢ cigar, and rigid as an oak tree.
I broke one stem after a lot of careful massage -- it was just too woody.
So for the moment I've nursed the stems to almost horizontal over time,
with exception of the main. And still trying to keep the tops down with my
crude double net and some plant ties. Best I'm going to do, this round.
My guess is, still, that I'm used to giving the seedlings and just after,
too much light, so there isn't much stretch, because the plant doesn't see the need.
But that's just a guess, and will do it differently next grow and see what happens.
I've never had an auto take this many days in veg, so that's a plus for sure. And the roots
will possibly make their way into the next room sometime soon. They've found
the reservoir and seem to be enjoying it. 🙂

Harvested 2 out of 3 of these ladies last week on Day 101.
Gave the late bloomer ~one more week.

Thanks again to brother and sensei @420autoflower for sharing and helping out.

For my next grow, I'm aiming to spread them out more—it got too dense deep inside my "canopy bush," which resulted in some underdeveloped, not top-shelf buds inside. Lack of light penetration I'd say. Will try to improve it next run.
I may even try out to not flattening them out at all—just go for a real bushy plant and heavy Schwazzing. Not sure yet.
