Indoor Growing Scrog

Nice! She looks thick and bushy:eyebrows:

What’s up @420autoflower?
Thanks Big Rick that's why I was saying to mongoose I had to let up on the lighting to get her so I could do anything with her once I turned the light down she jumped right up.

Man I want to try a scrog grow. Just don’t have the right situation yet. I’d have to dedicate one of the lights to growing one strain. And I’ll have to build a frame type thing. I keep saying it but maybe coming up.
My buddy passed and I gave him a shit load of my weed every harvest. I won’t have to grow as much.

Yeah that's had been my deal definetly don't wanna do it in my 5x5. I just took the plunge with my drying tent threw a light in the and seeing what happens it's only 20"36"x60" tent. I probably going to do it again in the 3x3 with two plants same strain. I don't wanna do anything but scrog now but the bigger the area the harder it becomes for sure

Thanks 420! And thanks wangotango for the net tip! Here she is from the front. Not as flat as I would like -- her main stem got away from me. Second photo: As I've mentioned, I'm almost certain that I have been giving seedlings and young plants too much PPFD, and they see no need to stretch. I've never had a main stem that made it more than half an inch or so above the surface, as shown in the second photo. And then all the next growth stems get thick and woody right away too, and stay much shorter than your plants' stems. The thick stem that moves toward 11 o'clock isn't even the main stem. Can't get a good shot of the main stem.

Thanks Bro!
Just let everything start growing vertical and push your net down more if possible.
I let the small nodes in the middle grow vertical right after I SCROG but keep the tops on the main branches pointing horizontal to divert the energy to the weaker nodes.
Hard to tell in the pics but did you lollipop down below?

No problem it had been something on my mind and I'm always playing with. I make sure the light is there if they want they just have to stretch for it. I've been attempting my first scrog as well here she is day 36 and then 39 3 days after netting

Canopy is filling in nicely Dab!
Keep those nodes exposed by tucking or plucking and pull up the ones that might be struggling underneath the foliage. You should have close to 100 top cola sights showing soon if you keep up with the daily canopy maintenance and pruning. Concentrate only on keeping the tops on the main branches down and let the smaller nodes grow vertical. “Need to keep the tops down for the bottoms to come up”. You're basically applying the same bent coat hanger training principle to every main branch by using the net.
I might be wrong but I see a lot of precious nodes in your first pic that are possibly buried in your second pic.

Thank you sir for the help I have been trying to do just that everyday did a heavy defoliation the day after I put the net in then what you see today is the canopy finally filling back in I've been moving branches around daily. Will do some plucking triming and maintenance here in a minute again

Keep up the good work Brother! 👊
I defoliate the top sites at least once a day and sometimes twice a day with how fast the plants grow.

This is a good example of how it should look.

Here are some of the nodes that should be exposed and growing vertical.

Thank you yeah that was a mess the first day completely forgot to defoliate heavy before I flattened her out went back the next cleaned a ton off and still do daily think. Already learned somethings for the next go. I’m doing pretty good job of keeping her opened up. Just took a few leaves today and moved some branches I can’t begin to count the heads

This is super helpful. The 'in-between' growth steps are great to see -- the new bud sites on the bare stems. Now I finally get it: first turn the top down to suggest to the plant that she needs to get busy compensating with growth of the early stems, then turn all the tops down to suggest to the plant that she needs to compensate with bud sights on the bare stems. :thanks:

You’re very welcome Brother! :d5:
That’s why I asked if you lollipopped the bottom of your plant. With the 420 method there is no lollipopping and even the weakest nodes that are usually picked off eventually turn into some of the largest colas on the plant.
No lollipopping and no waste equals higher yield!

Here’s a good example
