Indoor Growing Scrog

I plan to build a net from 3/4 inch pvc buy back will be difficult for my 57 year old self to get to but I will manage. What do you use to control pumps. Currently assembling a smart relay with 8 outputs and 12 input options available that won’t all be used
I use a cheap $10 digital timer hooked up to a $12 210GPH aquarium pump.

You can stop tucking and weaving after your preflower stretch.
Please post updated canopy pics when you get a chance. :eyebrows:
So, I do stop tucking and weaving when they basically don't stretch anymore? I'm wondering, because, your results are showing kind of big/tall buds/colas.
Or do they still stack up / grow taller aswell naturally even if the stretch is almost done?

Is there not a point during stretch, where I have to stop tucking and weaving and let them grow tall / stretch vertically a little bit? To get taller colas (and more yield)?
Sorry, this is my third grow total and first one on hydro. So I'm not really super experienced. But try my best to learn as much as possible.

Here are some follow up pictures from today.
Some more data first:
  • Today we have Day 43 since germination.
  • Growing different strains.
    • Glue berry, Daiquiri Lime, Critical Orange Punch
  • First pre-flower pistils shown on day 28. (first plant. the other 2 plants showed those 1-2 days later)
  • Flattend out on day 37
  • Since flatting out, I tuck and weave once a day. To keep (main) tops down.
  • Here and there I remove some leaves to keep very dense foliage clusters under control
    • Also, to expose smaller nodes / tops.
All of them are still stretching.
But as you see in the pictures below, at least one plant has significant flower-production already. I'm worrying how much longer they still will stretch. I hope I got some more time of stretching to grow these ladys taller.

Today before tucking and weaving
before minor defoil.jpeg

Today right after minor defoil to expose some nodes.
(you see the difference especially on the below right plant)
And after keeping tops down etc.

One plant is still in very earrly flowering process

Second plant a little further regarding flowering

Third plant. Flowers already more mature. Hopyfully they will still stretch more I guess.

They're coming along nicely. good things to come.

I would give them another big defoliation before you hit full flower mode ;).

You'll see and get a feel for when stretch is finishing. Once you have all the bottom nodes filling out the centre and the outer nodes filling out what space you have that just let those tops grow up. From about day 55ish all the kolas should be in place and then then allowed to tower and fatten.

Really pumped to see how you finish up, from what you have there I can see a yield of 800g+

I usually switch up my nutrient line every 6-8 months but I’ve been running General Hydroponics Flora Nova Grow/Bloom for over a year now. It’s a basic inexpensive 1 part N-P-K that works very well with only one bottle for veg and one bottle for bloom. I like to veg my plants hard and try to promote vigorous root development so I also supplement with General Hydroponics Floralicious, GH Rapid Start, GH Armor SI, Clonex solution and Mykos. After about the second week of flower and my plants are finishing their preflower stretch I’ll cut all veg nutes and start them on GH Flora Nova Bloom, GH Koolbloom and continue with Floralicious and Armor SI.
Going back again to an earlier post of yours, 420, in an effort to replicate this formula:

Do/did you keep your Floranova Bloom and Koolbloom ratio consistent throughout the flowering or gradually increase the relative amount of Koolbloom? (for context: GH recommends Koolbloom, a 0-10-10 PK additive, to be added in the two last weeks of the cycle – so giving it that early differs quite a lot from that recommendation)

Also, do you progressively increase feed EC till the end or dial it back it at some point(s)? (saw that in an earlier post you said that you go from 1.3 EC on day 7 to end up at 2.6 EC)

I was also wondering whether it'd be a solid choice to switch to said flowering nutrients once one sees pistils appearing at the ends of nodes or to do the switch already before that.

Preemptive cheers.

Will do. I plan to schwazz as much as I need to. Will wait until the stretch is over and then go for a first real schwazz-session I guess. Right now, I just remove some leaves everyday to expose tops. Already impressive, how much foliage is grown every day. Not comparable to soil. Also, having 24h lights is an extra boost. My 2 grows before were with photos.

What are the typical days since sprout that you must apply the 420scrog net? I realize there is a range depending on variables and culivars. But I appreciate anyone's numbers or guesses. Thanks all.
