Here’s the Ogreberry 2B tester at day 31. She’s starting to take form and fill out the 7 gallon pot. I haven’t grown in a 7 in awhile and it’s interesting to see the difference in growth rate versus a 5. At first, I was thinking that she was moving super slow, but over the past few days she’s started to kick into gear.
This appears to be one of those strains that requires some early LST. I didn’t do anything drastic, just started to gently separate limbs which should allow me to stretch the canopy open more as she goes. Topped around day 17 if I recall.
She’s a fairly light feeder too. Anything past 80% strength Floraflex and she would show some tip burn. So, she's getting about a 75-80% strength dose of the Floraflex V1&2 nutes. PH ranging between 5.6 to 6.0 on a varying basis for veg. I’ll see if I can push nute strength a little higher as she gets more stretch. Gave her a little epsom with her nutes last week. And she’s getting a little silica this week. I generally tend to feed silica every other week. Epsom maybe once every few weeks. YMMV. Dunno if the Epsom is totally necessary, if I see any spotting on leaves, I will usually start feeding it here and there. YMMV on that as well.
It’s really hot here. Expecting 104F Friday. But I’ve been able to maintain the tent at a max of 82F and RH around 62. Put the humidifier back in the tent to keep the RH up. Infinity fan is set to kick in at 81F. So far, knock on wood, I’ve been able to control things in there without racking up a crazy electric bill from running the AC more than normal.

Guess I forgot how to count? Last update I posted was actually day 29. Today is day 31. Ogreberry 2B is taking form now and looks like she's ready to go vertical.
Did a little more training last night to get stuff exposed, little lower canopy plucking as well do get some stuff in the dark out of the dirt and moisture. And I think that should hold her now until she begins the stretch. Once that happens, I'll have a clearer direction to head. But I think that it'll be the usual = stretching the canopy open and getting rid of unnecessary lower growth. But we shall see.
Oh, and I decided to just pop another FB Banana Purple tester. FB sent me these to test, so test I shall. I'll hold off on Blackstrap till fall when I can put the 4x4 up and not have temp issues to worry about. Anyway, Ogreberry is looking good.

Twenty20 Ogreberry 2B (sour grape) tester at day 33. Starting to get ready for stretch and she’s looking strong to me.
Little spotting here and there. Not a huge deal. I did feed her some recharge a couple times and I swear the times I’ve fed plants recharge, they’ve spotted on me. And when I don’t they don’t! Everyone I know thinks I’m crazy. Buddy of mine says I’m nuts. And he uses recharge and gets spots every time too! Maybe it doesn’t go well with Floraflex, and in all honesty I don’t need to use it. So I’m going to stop and see what happens. Thoughts??

Yeah man. I’ve been busy AF. My life is basically printing shirts. But I’m not complaining. I decided to extract that Walter White 100%. Seemed like THE PERFECT candidate. Just loaded with frost. Every time I grab a bud my fingers are coated in it’s sweetness. Getting ready to do an extraction tomorrow actually.
EDIT - Ha! You can see that frost on my fingers in the pic. Plant is laden with it. FYI - I started this as a fridge dry due to the heat, as we've talked about before.
And then when I realized how much frost was actually there, I decided to dedicate the entire plant - zero waste - to extraction in the Source Turbo and then gummies. So...I just left Walter in the bags in the fridge. It preserves all of the trichs perfectly. Obviously it will continue to dry to a point. But that is what is best for extraction anyhow. You want dry as possible material for the ethanol baths. So...when I want to extract a new batch, I just grab an oz (actually 1.2 oz) from the fridge when I need to.

I’m sorry everyone. I’ve gotten so busy working on my business that I haven’t had time to post. It’s been crazy. But necessary. That move at the beginning of the year really messed stuff up. I’ll post this update in two separate posts. First thing. I noticed that my plants don’t stretch as hard in the 4x2. And I finally figured out why.
They’re warmer in the 4x2. They were never stretching for light in the 4x4. They were stretching for warmth in the 4x4. Kinda blew my mind. But I bet I can duplicate the stretch in the fall.

She hit a point about 3 weeks ago where she seemed to be in a holding pattern. I figured wtf and stripped her fans. She grew them back and the buds began to fatten and put on frost.

Post 2. So…knowing what I realized about stretching for warmth. I decided NOT to top the Fastbuds Banana Purple. I decided to kinda let her go until I see tassels. Then I’ll grommet her up. The difference is striking. Obviously different strains but you get the point.

Not that it matters much, but we are trying to do what we have to do to buy a place. So if you don't see me around a ton, it's not because I've gone AWOL, I'm just hustling with the shirts and the business. I do still plan on releasing that Rud tee I posted up there earlier, along with a couple other things. That's more of a timing thing though. I will let you guys know when those go live in case anyone would like one. But they will go live fairly soon I think. Couple other things in my release queue before those.
