New Grower First time grow with 'Early Miss'. Photo and time lapse video:-)

Thanks! Ya, I was worried about it heating up the other lights. Will double check now since it's been on for some time:-) Is it overkill with the CFL? I guess I can turn them off and leave them in there in case I have to move them to the sides. Serena is really bushy and I may need to move them down in the future for her....
:D

I think the cfl lights are just in the way now. id like to see you use both the LED and HID but you will need to get creative with how you hang the led. try it sideways you have the ropes and pulleys to hang the led all kinds of ways. remember your MH is the dominant lamp and try to combine the light spectrum's.. I'm sure other members can also suggest ways .. your well on your way!

YAY!

Ok....what you are saying is, move the CFL out of the way or take them out for now....
And the HPS is my main one....how far above the plants should it be? Taking out the other lights, I can move it further down:-)
I can find a way to rig the led light sideways in this case....and put the ladies under the HPS....

Does this sound good?

I think I would probably pull the cfl's out for now, it's probably making excess heat more than they're worth in light, just since ya got light well covered now :) That's cool you got one of those fancy fans in there haha.

Take the CFL's out and put them back if you want to when the girls are bigger. Leave the HPS at that height and try and get the led angled a bit well out of the way of the HPS beam/unit.

If you are reading the temps from floor level it'll be higher as you get up the tent so maybe a bit high if that's the case. Are you connecting the cool tube to another fan and ducting or just leaving it like it is in the pic?

Ooh and just my OCD playing up but it's best not to leave any electricals or sensors in the direct beam of your lights!

Ok pulling them out! :-)
I know, that Dyson fan is awesome, I LOVE it! I'm wondering if I need a stronger fan though. My parents want to borrow it for the heat....and they said they have another larger fan to exchange for it....may do that if I have the room in the tent. Of course they have no idea what it's for....bwhaha! :-)

Ok cool, will try to angle that led tomorrow morning!
I took the temps from where the plants are (in the pots) and it reads 79-80 now, which I think is much better. I didn't know you could connect the cool tube to another fan?! Do you have a link showing how to do that or what I need? That would probably help a lot too....
And thanks for the thought on the stuff in the lights....I never would have thought of that!!!! I've moved them to outside the tent. The only thing in there is my camera....hoping to take some nice time lapse now. I just got home from a class and I SWEAR they have grown bigger in that time....

Hahaa I could swear I've noticed mine grow during a day also. Yeah the whole point of a cooltube is to connect it to another fan. It has to be ventent to outside the tent / box / whatever to make any sense though lol. You'd need ducting of the right size and a duct fan. Those things would look something like this: assuming ya have a 6" tube:

Fan: http://www.ebay.com/itm/IN-LINE-FAN...68?pt=US_Hydroponics&var=&hash=item25634475e8

Ducting, comes like a big flexible hose but just 1 is enough, ya cut it in half or whatever you need:

Those are just for visual examples but would probably be just what ya needed to do it. If the temp is ok now, it's not a priority, but yeah would help drop temps a lot :) Definitely by next summer time hah.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!
HA! I was wondering why it had an open end....and then I thought to myself....what makes it a cool tube?!
Doh! Ok, I will get something to vent this, just in case I have to add those CFLs back when they grow.
It's hilarious, once I get something, it leads to something else. Does it ever end? :-)
Thank you for the links....gonna get on it now!

Oh shoot, do I need a filter with this too?

Nope, if you buy another you can just use duct to intake the air from outside the tent, straight through.

You could use the filter and fan you've already got and just rig the cool tube up inline: filter-ducting-cooltube-ducting-fan-exhaust.
