I own the exact 400 you posted. it doesn't get very hot. using a cool tube you will have no heat issues. Are you putting this inside a tent?

That's good it doesn't get hot....do you think I should go with the 600w then? Eeek, I can't decide....I'm horrible at decisions....

Not too much of a budget when it comes to the HPS around this size (they seem to be under $400)....but it has to be on Amazon.ca (2 day shipping to me....sometimes overnight). I gotta get things going FAST;-)
I am only concerned about the added heat. I'd love to have one of each kind of light, all bases covered kinda thing!

I saw the tent in your first post and your tent with a 400 or even a 250 hps will make you a very happy person. like the Apollo you posted. those Apollo ballast are digi and you can switch bulbs ..

Awesome, that's what I thought....thanks SO much for the advice. Gonna order it up! Hopefully this pushes them a bit. Configuring all these lights is going to be a bit of a challenge ha ha

with your tent size id use a 400 with cool tube carbon scrubber and blower adjuster . that would be a perfect grow cab for you. no smell no heat big flowers!

Oh no, I think I have fungus gnats! Spoke too soon, lol! Getting some sticky papers. I've only seen one or two....so I've left the soil quite dry....
