New Grower First Journal: This is how we grow Moonijuana

hey TT. sex should generally show somewhere around day 25-35 more or less. and as far as tiering for a short space I just core the middle top 3/4 of the pot with a bottle and fill with nuted soil and fill the hole with a seedling mix. same as tiering kinda, without the cup. I got a couple of pics in my Red Poison thread if you care to look :peace:

Thanks for the tip! I'll try that out on my next planting.

Well, they're both looking good today! Also, I found a number of pistils growing on the Fantasmo Express, so that's definitely a female! I'm so excited that things are moving along! On to the pics:

First up, the Fantasmo Express:

She's getting bushy and hard to train; the top stalk is already reaching the limits of the case and is too stiff and thick to bend completely. This is going to be a challenge. Otherwise lots of healthy growth; she's becoming a monster in there.

Next the Sour Crack:

Looking good as well; it's starting to really get going now.

Can't wait to get these babies matured and harvested!

Gonna follow this journal, I need to get loads of info, being a grow newbie .

Had to get some better pics today; the girls look good, and I'm getting very excited! The smell of weed is definitely starting to replace the smell of chlorophyll (though the latter is still more potent), and it's clear the girls are near the next stage of their development. On to the pictures!

First, of course, is the Fantasmo Express:

She's looking lovely and leggy! I managed to tie her down using wires, and managed to gently bend without breaking the main stalk. Lots of branches to train tells me I'll definitely be planting this again for good yields in this box; hell, I might even grow just ONE and train the bejesus out of it depending on how monstrous it gets in here. Also, here's a closeup of the pistils:

I may be a newbie at this, but I'm 99% positive that right there is proof I've got a healthy girl on my hands.

Next, the Sour Crack:

Bushier and shorter, she's starting to hit her explosive growth stride, but less vertical and more horizontal. I'm not sure what to do about training her at this point, since she just seems to be putting out more and more fan leaves around the center as the older ones get big and go further out. Obviously, she IS growing taller, but definitely a "shrubbier" plant at this point. Of course she's developmentally about a week behind the F.E., so that might all change in a few days.

Finally, a side-by-side shot of the two in their little trough:

BOOM goes the dynamite... On the moon!

Some nice growth so far, and it's just the beginning! "Take your protein pills and put your helmets on."

looking good timetraveller , i have two sour crack going at the moment , it seems common for it to produce one main stem with few satellite branches which makes it ideal for Sog grows, good luck taming it pal for your space

I am really itching for the sour crack myself happy grow man:goodluck:

The plants continue to do well! I'm very excited about this as they go on; the smell of weed gets stronger each day as I open the case, and it's clear that I will soon need to utilize my ona gel canister to control the odor.

Anyway, here's the Fantasmo:

She grows, she grows! The LST does barely anything to slow her down! The branches shoot forward and up, leaving just a bend waaaay back in the stalk for ANY proof she was trained to begin with! She's looking gorgeous.

Now, for the Sour Crack:

She doesn't LOOK much different in the picture, but she's bigger and bushier in person. It's nice to see it thriving after the rough road she had on her way here. A look at them side by side might help show that better:

It's getting exciting to watch this go on; they're nearing the halfway point. I'm really glad I went to the trouble of making this trough; I already saw some dried-up root tips in the holes when I took it out of the box for a better look today, so it's clear the root network is spreading throughout the soil.

On that note, is it just me or do airpots dry out fast? I don't know if it's the airflow, or the bigger root network, but these girls seem endlessly thirsty. I water them until the whole thing is super heavy, yet the next day the surface soil is dry as a bone and it's barely damp knuckle deep under the surface. By the second or third day, it's bone dry when I test it and super light again.

looking good TT. I do think that the airpots are designed to dry out faster. you get more wet/dry cycles=good.keep an eye on those wires. they will grow around it and the wire will be inside the stem.
