New Grower First grow with $250 budget - Fugue State

Hey thank you for saying that! All I care about is growimg my own nugs. if it takes some low potency and low yield to learn then so be it lol. Now's the time to use everything we learn to fully bring the genetic capability of these plants nomsayin? Your doing great and I'm so excited to see the results. I love everything about growing and learning about growing. it is consuming my life, but I love it. I just wish my wife would get over the stigma of loser pothead and try weed someday so she too can start to grow with me. I dont have many friend, too hard to trust them when I have a bombshell wife, so the only people who care about my hobbies are on this forum.

I've gotta say, growing is fun. Things are much different now compared to when I tried growing out of a closet back in college using seeds we found in our schwag. Being able to hand select from premium genetics feminized seeds, and grow using cheap but powerful LED lighting that is energy efficient was a game changer for me. I'm itching to plant these mass medical freebies I got (Goji Pupil) but I know it wont be ready before the summer where I plan on traveling. Not sure how people handle keeping a plant alive when they are gone for a week.

I haven't smoked in a few years so looking forward to this harvest. My guy I used to get from retired from the biz, I guess because it isn't so hard to buy anymore if you go out of state. I'm too old to hang around a college looking for someone to buy from so I felt it was easier to just grow one or two plants a year and be self sufficient. And I get not being able to trust people. Absolutely nobody knows about my little setup except for maybe the guy on eBay who sold me the tent lol.

Good man that you are growing your own then. it really sucks you are in a state so backwards, it's completely idiotic and ignorant. I'm not sure how people grow while on vacation, although maybe you could get away if you have an automatic dripper on coco or some kinda self feeding hydro/ bubbleponic setup.

Day 34. working on getting that shade of green to where it need to be.

Anyone want to take a guess at how much dry bud my plant will yield? I'm afraid that at some point the small 2 gal pot will slow down the growth. I really have no idea what to expect.

I'll throw in a guess. I'm betting 30 grams. I'm not sure what the average autoflower yield is but hopefully I'm wrong and you get more:smokeit:

I would be thrilled to get an ounce. Can't wait to see her enter the full flower phase. I'm surprised how fast these things grow. I thought the 2 gal pot was huge at first when she was just a seedling....

Doing a great job there. :headbang:
2gal pot is fine for your first run. I'd maybe invest in 3 gal for next run (give those roots room to stretch out).
WRT your light, I use 2 V600 Viparspectra's which have Veg and Bloom switches. I was advised to ignore these and just use full capacity for the entire grow. I start at 35" and leave them there for the girls to grow toward. I only move them up if the plants get too close.
So far it's worked and despite some temperature and operator issues I pulled around 200g from 6 plants for my first run, so at a guess I'd say CC is close. You may even get a touch more?
If you want to leave them for a few days, look at AutoPots and coco... my tent is only visited twice a week for the entire grow.
Keep up the good work

Just checked out autopots, looks pretty cool. I'll consider them after I use up my supersoil and fox farm supplies. I see they come in 2.2 and 3.8. Wondering if I can fit the 2 x 3.8g kit in my 36x20 tent.

strain,pot,medium,grower,nutes,light etc. etc. all make a difference +/- in 3L 45g-85g and 6L pots im pulling 60g-110g
nice healthy looking plant oz + should be pretty much nailed on
good luck n keep er lit.

Indeed a week isn't much in the scale of things compared to my situation, however I have a trusted garden carer that tends to my girls once every 3-4 days (I have 5-6 plants in a 4x4 using the 15ltr pots (3.5gal I think that converts to?)).
Two of the 3.5gal pots with healthy girls in should fill the 36" space nicely. Only having 2 pots on a 47ltr res would be fine alone for up to 2 weeks too. For weeks 3 and 4 and onward (after the initial top feeding) it might need some monitoring.
If you had someone you can trust to do the same as me once they start going into flower and getting real thirsty, then the the 47ltr AutoPot res is a great option.
@BazookaJay you can have a look through my journal and PM me with any questions you may have.

On a personal note (because I use 6 pots) I've thought of increasing my res to 100ltr to leave for longer periods. Just in case something happened in my garden carers personal life.
