New Grower First Grow Newbie! 4X4 RDWC LED CBD

Haha not knocking what your doing or trying to criticise just trying to understand what your doing to get your res clear, the powders I am talking about are MC2 and the mycorrhizae, the way I tried to do it was weigh out the amount of powder I needed to use, put it in a jug, boiled the kettle, filled up the jug (about 1 litre), stirred furiously for about 10 minutes, it then looked dissolved so I added to res, but then I would get what matskee has now like the powder didn't dissolve completely and would create a film over my airstones so basically they weren't creating bubbles anymore
Greenleaf recommend 60C for dissolving the megacrop.
I have a few 1 litre jars that I half fill with water and throw the MC in there and leave it overnight. Make sure the lid is on tight and give it a shake. Then I throw that into the new res water.
The great white (when I wasn't making tea) I just mixed with about 200ml of water and then poured it in through the hydroton. Didn't need to leave that sitting.

I'm betting if you drop res level to 1" below net pot you will have a lot better growth.

Looks like you have all the roots submerged.

The amount of gunk was the same throughout all the pots and resevoir....

An even coating.

If the coating thickness is pretty consistent on the bottom and the sides of the pots and res, that makes me think some king of organic. Inorganic sediment from the pebbles would be mostly on the bottom.

I'm pretty sure this is what I've done - great white straight into the res with some stirring, it probably hasn't dissolved because I didn't take the time to do it properly.

The water level is probably half an inch above the net pots, and the root cubes are sitting a little bit higher.

In the last 24 hours there has been some good growth since the res change.

Matskee... he’s a sludgy boy! [emoji16]

Some call him the sludge king... a ring-ding-ding... he’s got more sludge than than a mudskipper’s ring.

BO! Peace out. [emoji1477]
[emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] love it! Well, don't love the res, but love the song!

This is what I've come home to, roughly 24 hours after I thought it was settled.

I've added another 2 points of down to bring it back to 6ish.

Will check again in the morning - just missed a photo op as I went to my 5 hours of lights out, but there was definitely some decent changes since yesterday!

Good to know although no powder nutes will go anywhere near my res again! Will probably try out Orca liquid instead.
