Greeting @RedWolfDiesel.

Late to the party, I'd like to share my KISS method with you if I may ? Might save you some time, money and stress !

I give each strain seed(s) their own shot glass with 1/2" of distilled water.

Drop in seeds. Remember to label each glass !

Put the glasses in a plastic container with a loose fitting lid. Place on kitchen table.

Go way for 48 hours. That is long enough for the seeds to either have cracked or have a tap root up to 1/2" long.

Peeking is permitted :D

BTW > I've had floaters and sinkers germinate...

I use 650g yogurt containers with a half dozen or so 1/4" holes drilled in the bottom.

Fill with ProMix HP and water to waste with a .7g/4L solution of Mega Crop one part.

Place on a saucer with plant elevator on the kitchen table again. Let them drain for a few hours.

Poke your finger in the middle to the depth of your finger nail. Put seed in bottom and gently cover with soil.

Place under light. Here I'm using a 85w CFL bulb in a reflector.

BTW > I've kept them under this light for up to 21 days before moving them into the grow room.

I place a 50cfm fan about 20" away. These are all sativa's but this example of stretch is expected with a relatively low power light.

Now quit fussing and go do something... No spritzing, just keep an eye on the weight of the container.

It should be three or four days before you are tempted to water. I gave in and gave them a 1/2 cup of water.

Timber

Just gently move some soil to prop them up...

It just so happens I popped my seeds at the same time as you !

Looks like I will water tomorrow, from the bottom. Seems to help with "stuff" growing on the surface of the soil.

Even if the surface of soil starts to look green, a gentle fluff with allow the soil to dry out on the surface and the mold/fungus will die.

Anywho, this is a Green Crack photo in a single serving yogurt container @ Day 8. Lambs Bread photo in the background.

My Amnesia auto is at roughly the same stage...

With your water and nutrients you shouldn't need to ph, ProMix HP is ph buffered and your water is pretty good.

Cheers

Awesome bro, thanks for all of the tips and better late then never. I appreciate any and all insight from seasoned growers so if anyone has any comments or advice feel free! I don't care about looking dumb or stupid because people always laugh and think it's funny until it's not, until it starts to work. It's crazy how friends laugh in the beginning and ask for discounts later. Meanwhile I'm getting more support from strangers that could be thousands of miles away from me.

I'll add to my notes to start them off in distilled water.

I noticed in other journals that even though seeds float they can still germinate. Also I'm def going to add a very light nutrient mix water to the starter cups soil for the first 10 days, instead of putting them in dry, no nutrient promix hp and giving them water only.
You're definitely right. I was fussing too much with them at first and noticed that I gave them too many sprays of water during the first week or so and caused the cotyledons and the next set of leaves to yellow. That's why next run I'll be spraying them down every two-three days.
It's pretty cool that we both popped our seeds at the same time. I'm thinking about starting 4 more seeds at the 6 week mark so that I can start my other tent. I was actually wondering about a new soil mix and nutrient run so for my next one I might try a Fox farm ocean forest mixed with their cocoloco and perlite. Using floraflex nutrients. Thanks for the soil mold fluffing tip.

Thanks for your comment brother.

WADR I would start over now.

Your seedlings are small, burnt and not praying. With auto's any set back will result in a lesser plant even if they recover.

You could continue as an experiment/learning experience while you pop some new seeds !

Cheers
