The germ kit was brand new and I made sure to clean it, the seedling mat was also new and I washed it out with soap before use. I also wore gloves and disinfected the tweezers I used. Next time I'm just going to drop the seeds into their final pot and not bother with the germ kit. I keep seeing videos and techniques on how to germinate and it seems like there's dozens of different ways. It's a bit confusing and frankly I'm not going to spend over $100 testing out 5 different germination methods, especially when I'm so far 0 for 7 when it comes to these seeds. so I'm just going to keep it simple and drop it in the final pot with a light misting of water from my sprayer and a glass or plastic cup on top.

You definitely can't go wrong with that!
And yeah I know what you mean, I find keeping it simple and doing what works best for me is more often the best route. Sounds like you have a plan though, best of luck with the next round if these don't pop!

Thanks for your support it really means a lot to me, especially since this is pretty much my first time growing. What's funny to me though is that when I was in the Caribbean, I dropped a seed in my bathroom faucet drain and a week later a seedling grew out. To be honest that experience kind of showed me how resilient the plant is. So I was very surprised to see absolutely nothing growing in my dome today.

super bummed about your bad luck here, sorry homie. i think 0/7 warrants an email to the bank, most will be happy to make a note on their internal lot numbers and send you a replacement or new pack. on the bank side if they have outlier lots they go back to the breeder.


it is weird they showed signs of life and then didnt pop up - have you had success in this environment with any other seeds?

Damn it's crazy how supportive, and kind a lot of you are here. I grew up being constantly disappointed/ let down, I also know that in life you can do everything right and still fail. So truthfully even though I'm upset I won't ever give up. I just didn't expect all of this support. Thank you brother

Sorry to hear about your troubles with germination. Im a new grower as well, and 0 for 7 would definitely be disheartening. I was gonna tag Stan as well, hopefully they can help you out. I know there are a lot of factors in play and I have no grounds for comparison, but I got 4/4 (2 Mephistos/2 T20's) using Fox Farm Light Warrior, no plastic domes, misting RO water (about 10 sprays per pot) 3 times per day. I soaked the seeds for between 4 and 6 hours before putting them in the soil. Kept my light about 24" above then at the lowest setting on 12/12 cycle (I think at least 12 hours darkness helps to trigger germination?) Hope you get the help you need to get growing!

That goes for anyone else that would like to offer their help tomorrow. I have other types of soil that I can use besides promix hp. mainly fox farms

Awesome, I'll keep everyone posted tomorrow on what happens with these four seeds. If I have to drop the four 3 bears OG seeds I'll be making a new thread for that , but part of me feels like maintaining this one so that this example doesn't get buried.
