New Grower First grow ever. Will keep updated regularly. Feel free to tag along

That was a thought for this grow but I need a quick rundown of bottom feed. Is it as simple as watering my runoff trays and waiting for the bag to suck it up?
Now that one (bottom feed gotta ask someone else, not experienced) but I do know runoff can harm plants if just sitting in let’s say a catch tray. Essentially it’s run off, washing old unused stuff out of medium, washing salt build ups out. When plants roots soak that back up, has a possibility of plant health problems. Just some fyi

This is a thing ive noticed with gb since shes been on the autopot, shes coated in salts, it seems to me that bpttom feeding pushes the salts out way fastrr than topfeeding did.
Course that is totally anecdotal so take it with, well, a grain of salt!

Thanks guys! I figured you would need to dump excess water, like runoff, to stop the bacteria growth. I might give you a holler @baked in the bluegrass if I go that route. And once again thank you guys for the insight. I appreciate it as always

I might also flush once at flowering switch this run. Like a typical flush. My bags were white and covered in salts by the end of grow. I didn't do a flush because I didn't see a point but maybe I'll try it out and see if it's worth it

Do eeet yo, holler anytime! Last tip and im done, if ya wanna go the bottomfeed route, maybe add some fungicide to your feed routine, that can help stave off the root rot and other potential issues!
Im using hydroguard, but i think southern ag makes one thats cheaper and as good if not better

In AutoPots and bottom feed the nutes solution is at bottom so what ever is used dries and leaves salts more often as I think open tray at the bottom.

I get the idea behind flushing but the thought of running that much h2o through the plant makes me nervous!
Also the thought of flushing out nutes i just put in is weird to me lol.
Unless of course its a dire emergency

Depends on how bad it is, and just wait till end of Grow to clean stuff off if not harming plants, flushing a plant for a problem should be very last resort
