This is salt build up from a little runoff a few times (I have had way worse, and with no problems)

See that's what I was thinking too and why I didn't do it originally.
I get the idea behind flushing but the thought of running that much h2o through the plant makes me nervous!
Also the thought of flushing out nutes i just put in is weird to me lol.
Unless of course its a dire emergency

And I didn't really get massive salt build up until near the end of grow besides the very bottom of bag. Maybe I won't do it haha

But that’s a fabric pot, plastic grow bags or pots a little different as they can hold the dried stuff on the inside of the pots

Yeah I was in fabric so maybe that's why I was seeing more salt than I would like

I was getting white all the way down the sides but never as pure white as that. So if you don't have any issues with your bags looking like that then I'm good to go haha

My suggestion, if ya wanna do runoff in trays (some peeps test this for Ppm/ec or ph, to help see what’s going on in the medium) but once runoff in tray, dump it, if ya have runoff your plants pot/ grow bag has enough water solution in the pot to sustain the plant.

I usually water to minimal run off and then let sit for about 5 mins because sometimes I lose water out the side of the bags when watering it in and I want the substrate to make sure it is watered down and holding water like it should. That I think was the only pain in my ass about these bags haha. Losing the water out the side when watering. Especially if you let the bags get dry the soil starts separating from the wall of bag and makes it even worse haha

I have found that SmartPots or fabric pots work best for me, cause the medium needs a little air, well the roots, and bags and pots makes it harder for me to judge when to water as the hold longer

Yes! I am glad I made this decision when I found them. They are great!

That’s gonna happen since fabric pots, and sometimes takes the water a sec to drain into soil, so usually water solution runs dwon the side, salts build up there cause dried on outside, for fabric pots that ok and all cool.
