Day 20-21

Up, up and away. First 1/4 feeding of nutrients. Pistils showing up on 5 sets of internodes on one plant, 6 on the other. 13" height this morning and no sign of stopping.

Very nice. Is that a shower stall that you're growing in? Great idea, very convenient for draining the excess from watering.

Yep. It's an additional bathroom that nobody would ever want or need in the basement. That gives you not only a drain line, but close proximity to the breaker and ductwork right to the outside, as well as being well away from any potential foot traffic.

Another couple of square feet would be nice, as I could easily do 2 more in there - but if these turn out well I may at least go for 3 in a triangular setup.

Hoping the ona gel at least helps a little, it's getting pungent down there and we're barely preflowering!

Day 24

So the weird thing here is that despite exact 1:1 conditions, one plant has got a solid 3" of vertical height and a lot more pistils than the other. I'm not sure if that's just sibling rivalry, the occasionally unstable genetics of AF's or what. I've rotated their sides of the room to see if it's not something I couldn't have calculated.

Hate to sound all "sex ed films of the 1980's" here, but is that normal? Same exact seeds. Same lights. Same distance, soil, nutes, humidity, etc. What am I missing? A xanax?

Vegging away. Vertical height is pretty slow (14 and 18 inches tall respectively), but I've been riding the overhead lights pretty close since the girl on the left put on a 5" internode distance. Lots of pistils forming. First two sets of true leaves are about ready to fall off.

The ona gel is really doing the trick. Now my basement just smells like my grandmother's linen closet. Let's hope that doesn't actually weave its way into any of the taste later - but at least the smell's under control for now.

Looking good. You've still got about 2 more weeks of veg growth left so they should put on a good bit more height. Keep them on veg nutes till that vertical growth stops.

@Muddy, I've been doing 2:1:1 every other feeding at about 1/4 strength. I think a little bump might not hurt, no sign of any burn from the feeding - just playing it cautious, y'know?

I hear you. You could probably go to 1/4 every feeding or even 1/2 without issues.
