Did you put any water in the pots before putting in the seeds? im glad to hear how much misting is done, i stopped that being afraid of too little watering .

Nope. Just regular kind soil topped with a 70/30 peat & perlite mix. Should I have presoaked? If so, I'm assuming I should actually go water my little seed babies properly, lol.

I soak , about 3 cups to get the soil alive and going more so than germinating seeds. i didnt my first time using kindsoil . i think the seeds have enough for today.

Alrighty. Just gave both plants 100 sprays each, as per @912GreenSkell 's advice. The topsoil looked much closer to something that plants would wanna grow in afterwards. Really hoping to see signs of life soon - the taproots were so good on both I'd hate to have lost them to underwatering...

This run I kind of thought 100 spray twice daily was a little much, so I eased back to 50 and one morning I slept in, and the pots in the stream of the fan dried out a little too much and I lost a couple of seeds to underwatering. But remember that my climate is fairly hot(85 degrees) and very dry(25-30% RH), so my rate might not be the same as your own. For a beginner presoaking medium is likely a better way to start them, and many grow vets ay question my technique. My theory is a loose non soaked medium offers extremely easy root penetration, and the root expand while searching for moisture. All theory though, and quite possibly(not quite possibly, more like most definitely) from the mind of a semi-crazy stoner...lol

Put a clear plastic cup over them and your pot will not dry out so fast
