Indoor First grow - Autoseeds Dream Berry & Auto Pounder

Alright. So as of early tomorrow a.m. the Auto Pounder will be a week old, and the Dream Berry just broke ground this afternoon. :woohoo1:

Humidity in the tent is in the middle 50% range, and temps are 82-86F. The Auto Pounder still seems small and a bit spindly so I did some reading and I'm gonna take a chance on leaving the humidity dome off from now on and start actually watering rather than misting and see where that gets me. I also need to get a better fan to start moving the air around in there. Hopefully those two things will get my little lady looking a bit more robust. Pics tomorrow for anyone interested.

Ok. Kinda starting to freak out a little bit. Opened the tent for the nightly watering at quarter after midnight. At this point the little humidity domes I had on the plants had been off for about 4 hours which is when I last misted them.

My Auto Pounder looked like this: AutoPounder1215.jpg

My RH/Temp monitor said 60% humidity, and I believe it was 84 or 86F. What am I looking at here? Heat stress? And am I correct that that's a tiny looking plant for being a week old?

Help me out here, folks. I gave said screw the misting and dribbled about 3oz of water on her and put the humidity domes back on both for the night since they'll be under the lights for another 9 hours...

@912GreenSkell , old buddy old pal. Whatcha think? @Dudeski - seen this before? Any advice?

Uh-oh that sure doesn't look good!! I hate to say it but I feel like the roots might be suffocating from a lack of oxygen...lift your pot...is it heavy or light? Shit this is why I hate giving out advice on little plants. I might have steered you wrong with too many sprays due to the difference in our environment.
Unfortunately it should not look like that at 7 days. Frig I wish I had something good to tell you bud. :( Going to pm you now.

Hey, man - don't sweat it. If they're fubar'd, they're fubar'd and I try again. No big deal. I appreciate the advice *everyone's* given so far, and I don't mean to single ya out when I ask stuff, lol. I'm not giving up yet!

Is it still looking the same? Are the pots heavy?

Just went to give them their first watering of the day, and they were both pretty much dead. The Auto Pounder looked the same, except the tips of the cotyledons and leaftips were browning. I plucked it out and there was virtually no root structure. Same with the Dream Berry - it was above ground, but laying more or less horizontal to the soil, and no real root structure - I was able to pluck it out of the dirt just by sort of moving it with my fingertip.

Oh yeah, and temps in the tent were 88F for some reason. Back to the drawing board, I guess. Thanks to everyone who offered advice, I greatly appreciate it.

(Mods, if y'all need to close this thread/move it to the dead journal section I'm cool with that.)

Are they damping off?? It looked so good a few days ago. I don't understand what happened..

Looks clearly overwatered. When they are that small they really need very little until they start growing[emoji6]

Sorry about the seeds, but you could continue here too if you wanted. Do you have more to try?

Eh, it happens. I have one more Dream Berry, which is germinating now. We'll see how it goes...

I don't know. Never heard of damping before. So...possibly? I will say that I turned on the second marshydro 300 partway through the week since the seedling looked like it was doing well, and the temps in the tent did rise a good bit so that might have been part of it.

I really don't think so. In fact, I feel like it was the opposite. To me, they felt quite dry whenever I went to spray them again. But again, still totally new at this, so...
