FD's Guide to Growing Hefty Autos in Small Places.

Ok guys i have been dragging my knuckles on this for too long. This thread will be dedicated to my actual grow technique. I will have everything in here from the way i germ seeds to the way i harvest and everything in between.

ill cover my soil mixes, teas, water adjustments, feeding schedules as well as the recipes for the soil and teas that i use. My goal is to teach how to grow the bud lumps you see in the small pots i use. I feel if you use this you may have the same success that i do when it comes to autos in small places.

Bare with me as i will update this on the regular, but will be locking it to get it all organized.

I got very poor results when adding hydrgen peroxide to the res bucket containing fox farms grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom....the roots went very slimy and dark..I was fighting rising ph problems...so the damage to the root system may have already been there, just not obvious until I added the h2o2.

What were your res temps again Hereb4?

How Big of a Reservoir where you using? Fox Farms Tiger Bloom definitely will burn plants i over fed on that once and had some gnarly results. I'm trying to compare to the best of my abilities your feeding and what mine was.

FD's feed sched is a SOIL mix... :eye: :buds:

yes res temps were very high...mid 80 f..ontill I stuck the pumps in the fridge..and wrapped the res in black plastic trash bags...still had temps in mid 70 f when the lights were on.

yeah... too high... my guess is that was you rmajor issue... in which case you were feeding the problem with o2...

In trying the tea FD makes does anyone have a place to find slag or suitable alternative to incorporate some of its qualities? Is the tea fed twice a week or basically every watering?
thanks awesome thread

:peace: Happy new Year!

Im going to have to second that one that gotgreen said about aerating the H2o - On this grow I have now I have always bubbled the water for 24 hours. I use a PUR 1 Gal Pitcher for my water, seems to be keeping the ladies greener and happier than before!

Im using a tetra whisper model 60, 2 outlets, two 4" airstones in a gal pitcher.

Thanks for all the info FD. I read all your threads and will be useing your methods. I just have a couple quick questions.
(1.) I was gonna use a cup and a half of Bone Meal, and a cup and a half of Blood Meal but someone ask a question if it's 3 cups of each. Which one is it?.
(2.) Accourding to your feed chart you start at 1.5 weeks, and your transplant schedule is 1 to 1.5 weeks, or 4 to 5 days after sprout. Should i feed with FF nutes at time of transplant, or just ph'd water?.
(3.) Your feed schedule looks awsome, but i don't see FF microbrew in there, and i will be flushing with FF sledgehammer. If it dosen't interfere with anything, How should i add Foxfarm Microbrew to your feed schedule?. Or does your soil already have enough micro activity?. (If i find slag i'll use it as needed)
(4.) Sledgehammer says 2 tsp. a gallon. Is that good to follow for small pots, and Auto's?
(5.) But as far as micro goes, right now i only have General Hydroponics micro, can i use this brand with Foxfarm products? If so how much and when should i add?
(6.) This last one is a stupid question but it bugging me. Is day 1 when the seed goes into the soil, or when the seed sprouts?. Sorry for the stupid questions i'm new at this. Other than that you've answered all my other questions that other people asked.
Thank you FD, and to all who asked.

Such an amazing series of posts so usefull to a new grower such as myself has anybody used that Bat Crap soil supplement before was thinking about getting myself some?

Hey sorry im a total noob, so when your germinating the seed in the soil does the pot in which you have the seed in with the soil need to be moved into a warm area (like the procedure for germinating in the ziplock bag) or will it do just fine on its own?
im sorry again for the noob question.

im sorry again for the noob question.

my grow rooms stays about 79 degrees... this usually suffices just fine.. seeing as i have multiple tens in a single room i just keep the main light out for a few days for darklness but ti still stays warm
