FD, Hello. Great to be in on this turtorial!! I do however have a taxing question for you...I have seen your 6 week ff trio nute regime, but the newer autos comming out are a 70 day+. How would you ammend a 10 week Fox Farm nute schedule for these new autos? I know I would appericiate the info. Thank you so much for your contributions to the Cannabinal Arts!!!(is that a real word?)
First im going to tell you to read your plant. Best thing i ever did was read, re-read, and read again sick plant forums, got to know the symptoms and the signs so i could properly address the issue. I honestly think thats where some of my feed scheduls came from and what you see here is the most common average.
Are you more Indy Dom or are you plants more sati dom? Id normally say leaning sati dom BUT it could be that the new strains are going longer in general. That in its self can be from two things. Later flowering plants being bred or the genetic dominance of a sati is coming out. I could be talking complete gibberish right now but i feel its best to share the full thought process behind it.
Now given that my schedule is based on 6 weeks my plants were fast, but that was the way that i was breeding them. Your plants have a 10 week stent before harvest, honestly i would bump the feed schedule a little like this.
Week
1 pH water only
1.5 add in Big Bloom to the mix at 1/2 tea spoon
2 1/2tsp Grow Big 1/2 tsp Big Bloom
2.5 3/4 tsp of grow big
3 clean ph'ed water to let the blant make its shift
3.5 Same thing, allowing the plant to go through its tranisition
4 1/2 tsp Grow Big 1/2tsp Tiger bloom
4.5 1tsp Tiger bloom 1/2 tsp Grow Big
5 Clean pH'ed water to clear out salt build up
5.5 Clean pH'ed water to clear out salt build up
6 1tsp Tiger bloom 1/2 tsp Grow Big
6.5 1 tsp of Big Bloom
7 Start your flush till week ten.
Now the reason for the changes, the clean water i believe gives the roots a chance to breathe and heal, not saying the nutes do damage to the roots but you don't like to be force fed do you? I always like a three week flush, it gives the plants time to actually clear the soil and to begin to clear them selves out. Watching fan leaves dies during a flush is almost as joys to me as seeing the first hairs on a new female. Lets me know two things, shes finishing her cycle and shes gonna taste good.
Now ive never noticed if a plant really tastes that much different if left to proper cycle but i will say my yields were always better towards the end as i was figuring this all out.
