Establishing Credibility Guidelines for Breeders

It remains unclear (to me) what is a 'breeder?' Many people so far appear to actually be talking about commercial seed sellers. Is a breeder any individual making seeds; anyone -selling their own branded seeds; a professional (does 'breeding' for a living); or are breeders only established/legal companies ( those that end-users buy seeds from)?

Breeder "credibility" and "guidelines" -- Normally, these things are taken care of by trade and professional associations. Whom- or whatever 'breeders' are, they should form their own trade and professional associations and conferences; and make available related detailed directories.

A fu$%ing men!

hey dragon seeds hows it going look forward to seeing some of your strains grown here on afn heres a quick question what would you say is your biggest baddest strain and which one of your strains would you say is more suited to the experienced grower not for the novice :toke:
Hey there! Nice to meet you Trichome farmer :) Biggest and baddest would be Komodo Glue and/or Wedding Drake with the latter having quite frosty phenos. Hydratonic #2 can get monstrous but is a CBD variety so won't pack the same punch. I think you'd enjoy Chimeran Blue or Hydra Kush as they can be a little finnicky and require more attention depending on the conditions.

very interesting thanks for the answer and assuming i wasnt a novice :crying: hahaha i lie somewhere in the middle of novice and capable:smoking:
another question if you dont mind where do the dragons come into it are you a lost dragon slayer from times past :smokeit:or maybe the dragons help bring the :fire::fire::fire:to your strains lol either way welcome to afn hope to see some of that wedding drake soon

Make your own crosses, f2 or whatever and give seeds away so everyone has more seeds than they need to. Nothing wrong with making seeds, if the seed is yours do what you want with it.
For the question of who is a real breeder I say everyone that make seeds but if you breed for sale and don't sell regular seeds it's a bit weird, many don't sell any regular auto strain though.

Any breeder should be able to show the Pedigree of their lines. If infact they did create them. Every breeder should be proud of the work they have done and should have Documentation of it like photos of at least the parents of the lines. Any breeder that is not transparent in how they got to where they are makes me question there integrety. Talk is cheap. Im no Profesional Breeder my slef but I take pride in my work. Another thing is Customer service. That Has to be Top Notch.
A breeder don't need to do anything else than make seeds.
They should give a reasonable description so people know what to expect from the seeds, that is all. It's ok to say you crossed strain X with strain Y and got a bunch of seeds and call it XY. It's a plant it's not like anyone really invented something and have to prove something.
