New Grower DWC COBS Megacrop first grow ever

@Frenjamin Banklin Looking good. Hydroguard will not change the PH or PPM (if you have a lot of dead root material that can raise PPM slightly as the HydroGuard digests it - rare). I am so cheap my Mother used to call me names . I used Dyna-Gro (least expensive of all hydro designed for cannabis nutrients) very successfully in DWC.

I went to a hydro seminar at a local shop last spring and got talked into running rockwool cubes with House & Garden nutrients. I was trying to solve the really high heat problems I have running DWC in the summer. I had reservoir temps almost 90°F a couple summers back. I swear by HydroGuard. The challenge was that I could run a six plant grow for less $$ using this method and the much more expensive nutrients and it has. I still have not equalled or bettered the yields I had in DWC but the quality is better to much better. Anyhow in a cooler location I would grow DWC.

Do you have a medical need?
Very true about the hydroguard, I use it love it.

Been using the hydro gaurd since the start. Only changed my res once And started to run Mammoth P a few weeks ago. I use very very small amounts in my nutrient top of bucket with some molasses and after 2 days of bubbling the mix is healthy and very earthy smelling and full of bennies ready to work. Water temps between 65-68 so I couldn't be happier but definitely would not risk going without the hydro guard.
I've only been using 2ml of hydro guard and mammoth per 5 gallon bucket of top of nutes every third bucket and my root zone and bennies seem very healthy. I'm super cheap so wanted to see how much I could get away with. Fingers crossed it holds out. I also top full strength nutes and have only changed buckets once in 10-11 weeks. No lockout or toxicity yet. Megacrop or magic or healthy bennies chelating it all ?

@Frenjamin Banklin You are taking a huge risk if you are not changing your reservoir weekly or at minimum every 10 days. This is due to the unknown actual nutrient uptake of the plant. When and not if this causes an imbalance in the reservoir yield and quality will suffer. Granted that a really experienced hydro grower will recognize and correct a problem quickly some loss will still occur. It is all about liebig's law of the minimums. The difference between being thrifty and cheap could mean that your time, electricity and efforts would have yielded better results with a purchase at the dispensary. Yes I learned this the hard way!

So as predicted trouble arrived

Got cocky and with all the crap in the Rez I went full strength on Koolbloom and within 12 hours had lockout and P/K overdose symptoms, brown necrosis , dumped 2/3 of Rez and topped with plain PH water and now back up taking the good stuf with minimal damage. Thankfully I check on them every 8 hours or I think I could have lost them. Will go plain water with bennies and Ca/mg for a week and added needs as I go. Three girls are building and frosting.
First is my gg4 that's still building frost and size and I know I have a few weeks to go

Next is a RQS diesel that I stunted and the didn't last or defol very well and also had some mute issues. She is the oldest with the largest and densest flowers and will come die first but a few more weeks? Might start to try in a week just to get an idea stages and effect ( first grow ever)

Last is my DP glueberry, the big girl. She has a lot more bulking to do. Still lots of room to pack on some serious weight I hope.

So....... Do these look like they are supposed to. Not sure if you guys can zoom in and see the frost ? Time feels like it has stopped, waiting patiently.
Thoughts ? Anyone
