Dutch Passion Dutch Passion AutoXtreme in 30 litre airpot

if your ph is at 7 then its a bit too high, you need it closer to 6.5, what is the ph of the water you are giving them? are you feeding them nutes yet?

Theres an aquarium product called "Proper PH 7.5". 1 envelope contains 12 grams to be mixed with 10 gallons of water. Using 1.2 grams in one gallon will give you a known 7.5 ph for calibration. good luck

its a soil probe that he has bro

hey bro if you are growing in soil your ph should be nearer 6.5 or thereabouts, what soil are you using? if the ph isn't a mile off then just adjusting your water/feeds should do the trick

Hi Larky,
Im using Plant Magic soil.
My feed has been ph6.4 to 6.5 from the start.

you dont have to wait. as someome all ready said you just test the ph of the runoff and + or - the end

Waiting 2 weeks will do more damage the good, no?

Hermmm Ive not been watering so much to get run off.
Im in big ass pots remember.

Can somebody help True? I feel sad for his plants.

Thanks T :)
Ive got some assistance now on the live help forum.

is your ph meter calibrated? in the Live Help Thread you said...

"My soil is showing a ph of 7.
This is the same on all plants in my room sick or not."

so your ph is reading EXACTLY the same for the plant that is healthy and the one that isnt?

7 is a bit high but i think your reading may be off and ur getting lockout because i dont see how one can be soo much healthier but they both have the same PH. imo if they are the same strain and the ph is the exact same for both they should both be able to take up the same amount of nutrients
:Sharing One:

My ph metre is fresh out the box, no mention of calibration or ability to do this.
Yes its a cheapy from my local garden centre but other than the unit Tang recommended in the UK at least and as far as I can see these cheap units are all thats available :)

I have ordered the metre rec'd by Tang and thats on its way from the States.
Yes my ph read 7 in all 9 pots.
It also reported the soil was on the dry side which I new, I was waiting to feed.
Last night the sicky's got just water and the 6 lovely's got ec1 with all the trimmings.

As per the live help thread Ive bought some cal-mag potion and as lights are off right now Ive sneaked in there and gave them a good spray soaking.
Later they will get some cal-mag feed into the soil.

Im trying my best here.
Its a bit upsetting all this. 3 sick as hell and 6 doing well.
Im blind as to why although I suspect it was me early early on with the root stim.
I well over over fed that at least 3 times.
Hey ho.

Thanks for your comments, I will fight on and hope they recover.

then water until you get more run off to test.......

you could have found the ph off the soil straight away bro, these 2 weeks of damage was possibly avoidable and if it is the soil ph thats causing it (more than likely) it will take at least a week to correct.

Ive just discovered the importance of soil ph as i was also under the impression that you didnt have to worry with soil. Mates eh......know fuck all, AFN is where its at dude

if you have been feeding at 6.4 - 6.5, i would recommend watering until you get enough run off to test it, i reckon you will be waiting another few weeks until your accurate 8 arrives from the states, i hate to say it but those cheap soil probes are not very reliable, are you feeding any nutes yet? if so what have you been giving them?

What nutrients are you feeding them? I am sorry I see plant magic and there medium too. I would recommend what is said above. flush and use the equation that was set out in a few post back. By chance the ph reader is right you need to correct. Next run try ph perfect advanced base nutrients and a really good tea like botinacare works great for me. Just a thought bro

Hi both
Thanks for the messages back.
Im using Plant Magic nutrients and Plant Magic soil.
Been feeding 20ml grow with 10l water, ec 1.2, ph 6.4 to 6.5.

Ive got some Plant Magic Cal-Mag potion which Ive been told to dilute and spray on.
Also there getting a feed of this stuff pour'd in by hand.

Still no worse, no better.
I agree with what you all say on the cheap PH metres and was aware of this went I spent my £5.
I just thought why not try it while Im waiting for my proper unit to arrive.
Next feed I will ph the run off and report back.

If my ph going in was right enough why or what could make that change?

Peace :)

Hey man. How is your grow going? Hope your ladies are just fine by now.

yeh, I hope things are looking up a little bit True

Alright folks,

The 3 sick girls are no better, no worse but still look pretty shit.
Yellow as hell.
Ive got all the soil PH probes in the world now, none work or inspire any confidence so god knows on soil ph. Who cares!

Growth upward has stopped dead on all plants.
There budding up ok I suppose but I expected taller by now.

Ive been adding 10ml cal-mag by Plant Magic to the last few feeds and only 10ml of grow nutes, 10ml of bloom nutes per 10l of water.
Ph at 6.3 and ec 1.4, now I see some minor burns on the tips of my good plants... ec is only 1.4 why are they burning at that?

Read loads of grow diaries lately and its a common theme I think being up and down with the grow.
Im a bit disappointed I fucked things up early on and seem like Im chasing my tail now..
As great as advice is off everyone (not just on here) Ive got overload with views and opinions. Everyone virtually has said its this, its that, no not that you mad its this for sure and Im clueless just totally clueless.
Thats why Im frustrated, my lack of clear understanding.
I just go in there feed/water and come out... Im just going through the motions and not even crossing my fingers anymore.

If I cast my mind back years when I did hydro nft I had no problems.
I followed a book, made some notes on temps, ec and ph and stuck with them.
I had monsters with no problems bar spider mite once. It was easy as pie, Im not into soil already.
Too heavy, to messy and airports are a right fucking pain in the ass as well pissing feed everywhere unless you go mega slow.

Im going RDWC after this.
I'll go take some pictures in a bit and post later..
Might go for a sulk as well :-|
