Dutch Passion Dutch Passion AutoXtreme in 30 litre airpot

hey bro if you are growing in soil your ph should be nearer 6.5 or thereabouts, what soil are you using? if the ph isn't a mile off then just adjusting your water/feeds should do the trick

It's my understanding that anywhere 6.2-6.7 for veg and 6.5-6.7 in bloom for most complete uptake of all available minerals and nutrients.

Hey Mr Larky :)
Thanks for the reply back.
Im using Plant Magic Supreme soil.
Ive got a few issues going on and the general feeling is check out the soil PH before doing anything.
Cheers for now.

Im just waiting on my PH metre then I will report back.

Anyone got any pointers on lowering or raising my soil PH as per my earlier post above 2? :)

you dont have to wait. as someome all ready said you just test the ph of the runoff and + or - the end

Waiting 2 weeks will do more damage the good, no?

OK people I could not wait for my nice soil PH metre thats on order from the States.
So as things are getting worse Ive been to my local garden centre and bought there standard £6 2 prong ph / moisture metre.

Is there any particular method to using this?
Ive stuck it in my soil all the way in and Im showing a soil PH of 7.

I get this reading across all my 9 plants and out of the 9 plants 3 are showing some signs of lock out perhaps.
Im using Plant Magic soil supreme and to be sure Ive just made up a fresh pot full and checked that.
Again its the same at PH 7.

Is this high, low, good or bad?
Whats the plan now?
My three sick plants are continuing to yellow.

New pics to follow.

Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.

For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5

is your ph meter calibrated? in the Live Help Thread you said...

"My soil is showing a ph of 7.
This is the same on all plants in my room sick or not."

so your ph is reading EXACTLY the same for the plant that is healthy and the one that isnt?

7 is a bit high but i think your reading may be off and ur getting lockout because i dont see how one can be soo much healthier but they both have the same PH. imo if they are the same strain and the ph is the exact same for both they should both be able to take up the same amount of nutrients
