Dutch Passion Dutch Passion Auto Blueberry

Been 10 days since the last post! Oops!

So I got my CFL out today and lit the plant up with it for pics.

Here is a full shot, sorry for the glare the light was right against the camera:

And a closeup of one of the maturing buds. Please note there has been a little issue with light/heat burn with this plant. Hey, it's summer, if you don't have an AC for your grow this happens. I'm not too bummed about it:

I did a res change last night. I have to say that I never actually expected this plant to smell like any type of berry. I was convinced it was all hype. But I was proven wrong when I moved her for the change. The smell is distinct. Strange...

I will probably be doing a selective harvest of this plant, taking the top buds first.

Hi all! Don't have time to put up CFL to post pics, heading to work.

Just wanted to get some advice on when to harvest her. Top colas looked ready last week and then now a new flowering spurt. Buds seemed a little spindly so I was happy to see this. Not thin mind you, just a little light in weight. The buds that are there are dense.

Also some are starting to look a little on the sativa side with pointy ends to the buds without much on the tips. Leaves on the buds are dieing out as well. This could be due to heat however, it's summer like I have said and the garden has got a little on the hot side for a few days here and there. Leaving the door open now.

This Tuesday will be 11 weeks. Trichomes appear to be cloudy/clear yet. Read last night that some may take up to 14 weeks but I have a habit of letting my plants go way too long and turn into sleep inducing narcotic flowers. I like this, don't get me wrong, but would like some gear that would be more for daytime stuff like mowing the lawn etc.

Was planning on doing a selective harvest but it seems like the entire plant is maturing at the same rate. Is this what others or the breeder (if you see this) have experienced as well?

Just wondering how long others have let theirs go.

Thanks guys!:thank:

Pulled one bud branch off today. This was the one that looked the most like sativa/stretchy. It was also the one directly under the light.

There are still some white hairs on it but I think I made the right call. This allowed for more light to the rest of the canopy and truthfully it just looked like something was "off". I'm thinking the heat has something to do with it. Could be the light too, I think the new LED's are stronger than the old ones that I am used to. I thought the white diodes were more for humans than plants but for some reason they just seem stronger than the old school red and blues.

The rest of the plant looks great however, and I think I will let her mature a little longer than the 11 weeks suggested by dutch passion. I keep reading reports that say to let her go 13 or so weeks to really add on the bulk.

Again, sorry no pics, heading back into work. Will be 33 hours this weekend counting Friday. I need a damn break!!

Here is my DP AB, it's about 10 days before harvest. I am pleased with it
so far. When it goes to flower, it jumps, and you will have to catch up with it.
Mine surprised me with how much it wanted to eat and drink (I do soil).
The buds are fairly tight and very juicy. I pulled a small one off the bottom,
and as you'd expect, it was a sativa kind of stone. But I liked it.

I think fast growing strains like seaweed nutes. I have 2 different kinds, and
used both. Not in huge amounts, I don't try to go for max growth. I want a healthy
vigorous plant, and I think the seaweed really helps the plant in a number of ways.

Mine never got the main cola like yours did. It split off into four smaller main tops. Strange... I can't wait to try it out however, getting close now!

Hmm, accidentally clipped off a small bud while I was trimming today so I speed dried over a low heat while I was at work. Just finished a spliff of it (I know tobacco is evil, sorry). I'm really impressed with the effect. Like I said it wasn't all that much so I'm not totally blown away but I can definitely feel it.

guess it's time for an update, it's had a few days now without water. It
eventually got kind a of hashy smelling, but the trikes never did get all cloudy
and change.

I am going to chop it tonite or manana and hang it. Hopefully as it ages
it will become more the way I like it.

How many weeks are you at Late? Some of my smaller bud leaves are getting a rust colored age to them. I think I will chop these tonight too. I have yet to see any amber or cloudy tikes either. Tomorrow will be 11 weeks for me.

How is your yield looking?

I am in week 13. Started the beginning or April.

This was my first full grow in a tent, and I heat stressed the plant by
putting it in early. The yield is fine, and I am not using much these days anyway. I don't have enough experience to even guess
what the dry weight will be. But I think it's a decent producer.

Going back to AKR next time.

DP ABB is a lovely smoke, looking good late :)
