Indoor durbanpoisoner's first ever coco grow

Day 37. The stretch continues. Back up to 10ml/gal canna A+B, 1g/gal sweet candy and 5ml/gal calmag. All girls taking that just fine. Did a little PH water flush on the right girl and the leaves perked up after. I think I had a bit of a salt buildup there. Other than that, more of the same.

looking good man. Nice job :headbang: :growing:

Day 50. Nutes are the same, 10ml/gal canna A, 10ml/gal canna B, 5ml/gal GH calmag and 2g/gal GL sweet candy. I noticed what looks to be a calcium deficiency on one plant (forum stomper in the middle), though I'm not sure it's really a deficiency. I know there's potential for calcium lockout when using a PK booster like I am with sweet candy, but I would've expected it in early flower, not mid(ish) flower. Not going to do anything about it right, will reassess in a day or so. Otherwise, about the same. Stretch is continuing and I raised my lights the highest they can go. Right now I'm okay, but there may be a point where the girl on the left is just too big and I gotta get rid of my waste res that all the plants sit on and move back to saucers. That would get me another 10-12" of room. Gonna make watering a pain though. With soil it was fine, with coco, having to drain run-off every day would be really annoying

Otherwise, it all looks pretty healthy to me. Noticed some red on a few fan leaf stems, but not everywhere, more at the top so I'm going to attribute that to temps for now.

grow looks awesome! got a question for you based on your handle/screen name: what are some standout autoflower seeds with that classic durban poison taste? specifically that menthol parsnip silvery breathey - you know that poison taste. i'd even try to grow some photos, really diggin that taste.

I've never attempted to grow anything in the durban lineage, I don't really have the space to grow a pure sativa. I have grown mephisto hubbabubbahaze and cosmic queen which are both great. Cosmic Queen has a wonderful candy necklace type smell that I love, but it's not the durban poison smell/taste.

I tend to grow mephisto, so mango smile may be something I try, but again, size concerns me. Thanks for the kudos.

looking great in there bro going to have a sea of tops there I'm also a coco grower so I thought id check them out

Day 54. Noticing a worsening of the calcium deficiency/lockout I noticed a few days ago. Unfortunately, my plant was neglected on Friday so I wasn't able to react until Saturday morning. The medium really dried out between Thursday night and Saturday morning. Nothing terrible, but I need to water every day. I noticed the calcium issue on 3BOG and the freebie. I think this is due to the excess potassium from sweet candy locking out calcium. So I've reduced sweet candy to 1g/gal and will potentially reduce it further. I gave all three a good amount of water, almost 2 gal between the three. Things looked fine this morning, nothing got worse. Let me know what you guys think.

I diluted the feed I had with the full strength sweet candy with 3gal more of nutrient solution minus the pk boost. Did a solid watering with a good amount of runoff with that solution. Checked this morning and everything looked fine. Nothing got worse. So I’ll keep an eye on it and keep just the A+B nutes at 10ml/gal each.

May re-add it closer to harvest or may not.

The plants look good, they'll survive the issue. Did you give them a lot of calmag during this run?

I did. I had been giving 5ml/gal but the issue I believe was that the excess potassium locked out calcium. So it was less about upping the calcium than it was about reducing the potassium.

Day 55. Girls drank a lot again. Back to 10ml A, 10ml B, 5ml calmag. Sweet candy is out. Nothing looks worse, everything looks basically the same today. Pictures are of full tent, forum stomper and 3bog. Closeups aren't great, sorry.
