Indoor Duckster gives Wilma a go

Well you got more will power then me that's for sure! Been smoking every day since I was 13, tried to give up a few years back but felt like I was a crack head going cold Turkey and got the night sweats, couldn't sleep etc so I decided to buy a tent with all the gear to grow lol, now I love growing so I guess I'm fucked now :crying:
Ye I've been smoking weed over 30 years first couple of days where a bit naughty, loss of appetite not sleeping great haven't been that grumpy tbh even the wife was surprised but I'm back to normal now, I'm gonna vape in future but if it makes me feel like that again I'll stop simples [emoji16]

Yeah about 50 years for me. Had to quit once for about 6 months for a job. It took me 6 months to find a job that didn't do random testing. Had to dry out for 6 weeks to pass a piss test about 7 years ago. Other than that, the only other times I wasn't smoking is when I couldn't find any weed.

So a really busy week with some stuff to report but no time ATM, so this will have to tide yall over for the time being

The rain was pouring down. And there standing in front of a big puddle outside the pub, was an old Irishman, drenched, holding a stick, with a piece of string dangling in the water.

A passer-by stopped and asked, "What are you doing?"

"Fishing" replied the old man.

Feeling sorry for the old man, the gent says, "Come in out of the rain and have a drink with me."

In the warmth of the pub, as they sip their whiskies, the gentleman cannot resist asking, "So how many have you caught today?"

"You're the eighth", says the old man.

I feel like the harbinger of death. My post stalled the thread. Let’s get this show on the road. We need weed and wild antics.
My self I’m just trying to recover from a night of childish behavior. Eyes are open but not sure if they belong in my head.

Have been researching and attempting BHO over the past few weeks. I have come to the conclusion that in general making BHO is fairly easy...…achieving the desired end result - not so much.

On my first attempt I was trying to mimic one of the more detailed videos that I had watched. This guy put his packed tube in the freezer for 24 hrs before he basted. This did not work out well in my world of 80%+ rh. Massive amounts of condensation formed on the tube and dripped into the pan. (I didn't know this was a problem). I used about 40g of sticky trim and popcorn with 2 cans of butane. I blasted into a pyrex dish lined with a silicone baking sheet held in place with clothes pins so a bowl is formed. Even though my tube has valves at both ends, I did this as more of an uncontrolled open blast. Since it was 90F+ outside, I didn't see the need for a water bath to do the butane boil off. I transferred the silicon mat to the vacuum 5gal vacuum chamber. I did not see the big "muffin top" that is mentioned in all the videos' I watched. My chamber sits on a pid controlled heat pad. I was shooting for purging at 92F. I set the pad to 92 but it has a minimum hysteresis of 2F so I wasn't sure what temp the material on the inside was getting to. After about 6 hours I tried to do the first flip. I found lots of water droplets had separated from the material. most of these just rolled off the mat. The rest I dabbed up with a tissue. Flipping was a joke - what a sticky mess. Kind of managed it and continued to purge and flip every 6-8hrs for a couple of days.

My targeted end result was shatter - it's pretty but mostly because that was the end result of the video. I guess my end result would be considered wax. It is light brown, opaque, hard and not too tacky if isn't handled much.

Forgot to mention that I got about 4g so about a 10% yield

After a bunch more research I tried again with lots of changes. This time I added 2 layers of coffee filter just inside of the 150m filter inside the tube. I chopped and air dried the trim and popcorn for a few days before packing the tube - tighter then last time. I had 66g and the tube wasn't full so I added 14g of GSC chopped bud so 80g total. I used foil backed parchment to line the pyrex in hopes of it making the first flip easier. I did not put the packed tube in the freezer. I added butane with the bottom valve cracked until liquid started to drip. Then I closed to bottom valve and added as much butane as I could and closed the top valve. Let the tube sit for a minute, then flip it over and sit for 5 minutes, and then back over and sit for a couple of minutes. Then crack the bottom valve until liquid stops dripping and close the valve. Add more butane wait a minute and crack the bottom valve until the liquid stops dripping and close the valve. I repeated this process until I had used 4 cans of butane. I stopped anytime any condensation was starting to form and wipe it off with a towel. Again, I did not use a water bath to help boil off the butane. I did see a bit of ice form in the liquid during the boil off. There were no condensation drips so the water had to come from the material. It probably came from the bud that I added to fill up the tube.

I transferred the foil backed parchment ti the vacuum chamber. I had already experimented with a IR thermometer setting the heat pad so the contents of chamber stay 89-92F. I still did not see the big muffin top under vacuum. Yes the material expands but nowhere near as big as what I see in the videos. Maybe it has to do with the water or maybe I should start the vacuum a bit sooner. I tried to do the first flip after about 6 hours. No way - still too gloopy. 4 more hours I tried again. What a mess. The foil backed parchment paper did not work out as planned. I thought that if I got it cold an rolled on the edge of the table, that it would release easily but no. I was able to remove half of it in 4-5 small pieces and transfer it to a silicone mat. The rest I was able to pick off with a dab tool. So much for not disturbing the molecular structure. It was stickier than last time. I kept purging and flipping every 8-12hrs for a week hoping it would solidify. It did a bit but still not something that you can touch without getting it on your fingers. The yield was 9g so a bit over 11%

This is the second batch. This is a crappy pic, I should have used the flash. I was trying to show the 3 different textures that I see. One is a much stickier version of the wax that I got last time. One looks a little like a moist brown sugar. The other looks like the beginnings of crumble.
