looks like a bit of calcium def to me ducks you could up your calmag or just keep an eye on it make sure it doesn't get any worse I have found with these cobs they do seem to burn through the calmag more ive got the same just keeping an eye on it

Looking great duckster, yea like wile said just a tad hungry for Calcium- just be careful if your calmag has added N asshe looks like shes got enough N already.

Thanks guys I'll keep an eye out. Just did a res change today. Yeah my calmag is 5.0 Ca, 1.5 Mg, 1.0 N, & 0.1 Fe.

Right so now I am witness at how fast things can change in hydro. At the last res change I was seeing a bit of a cal/mag issue. I think that I added enough cal/mag and watched the pH closely. Everything seemed fine until I had to leave town for a couple of days. I came back to find the pH dropped to 4.9 and SC#1 had gone from this

Some of the leaves just look really bad but others are burnt where they start to crumble if touched. I have gotten the ph under control and have had it at 5.8-5.9 for the last 24hrs. I have not noticed any more damage but it's hard to tell.

The weird thing is this had almost no effect on SC#2. I could only find a couple of leaves that looked like this

That's the only downside to hydro it's very hands on that's another reason I use autopots in the summer I'm out more less to check I've been ph ing my feeds to 6 to 6.2 check them the next day down to 5.2 won't even tell you what the ec is (over 2.2 and rising) ha ha was hoping not to do another bucket change but it looks like I have no choice such is life [emoji106]

Between 1.4 and 1.6 I'm dropping silica out the mix next bucket change that puts my ro water that doesn't register on the truncheon to 0.6 ec when added the plants don't seem to mind so I'm not to worried [emoji1]

My last change was around 1.6ec now down to 1.4ec. Last fill I started at 1.5 and 2 weeks later it had dropped down to 0.5. With my res being constantly being topped off with fresh water, I don't think my res ec would ever go up.

I do hope you put calmag in your top up water if not that could be your problem

Oh did not think of that. So far has been water only in the top up tank. What do you use when you top up your buckets?

Erm feed feed and feed ha ha my top up buckets are the same as when I change them about every two weeks I might add a bit more calmag to the top up buckets as they do seem to burn through it [emoji106]
