Harvest & Curing Drying in a brown bag

where did you get a plastic ziplock bag big enough to fit a paper bag?

oh i mainly use the small paperbags and then the biggest zipper bag i can find in the kitchen isle. for truly large paperbags I would just toss them in a grocery bag or even trashbag to help seal some moisture.

Has anyone tried using the bag method and dry trimming after?

Looking to chop this week and I'm still on the fence to hanging the whole plant, or using the bag method. Figure leaving stems + leaves on will slow the dry even longer in the bag. Is that even worth it?

you could do that i suppose but id at least take the fan leaves off

The brown paper bag with cause a rapid dry and you will lose a lot of your terpenes, low and slow is the way to go with drying. Brown paper bags are great for sweating cannabis after it is dry but I would not recommend doing the whole dry in bags. If you have ever noticed your buds re-hydrate after you buck them off the branches when they look dry this is because the inner moisture of the stems and buds has not been pulled out. Paper bags are best for this step on a small scale and will help pull out that inner moisture and get buds to the perfect moisture levels before going into a container for curing.

Haven't read the whole thread but what's the deal with this? See post after post saying drying with a bag works great then here on page 50 I see this.

Each to there own I dry absolutely everything in brown paper bags and my buds look great and I've always got plants growing in my tent so if you can't hang them it's a great way

Different environments need different things. In winter i have to paper bag dry or i end up with a full crisp in 4 days. In the summer the paper bags give me a nice slow 8 to 10 day dry.
But in a tropical area with 80% ambient humidity i would personally suggest against the paper bag. Its up to the grower to experiment with what works for them.

Sounds like a pain in the ass to dry buds in a brown bag,if
You have a big crop you need a shit load of brown bags,if you just line the bottom of the bag with buds

i make do pretty well with them and i don't hang dry anything ok if you were taking 5 huge plants down at once maybe that's not the best way
