Honestly mate you will be buzzing let me know how you get on as I will be doing my other 4 in less than a week

Hey, I am about to chop my first plants and am going to dry in brown paper bags. My main concern is that RH may be too low in my grow tent. It's been as low as 30% the last week. Should I try increase the humidity of my tent? Or will it be ok and they will just dry quicker?

Thanks

Low RH is fine. Make sure you get the thickest brown bags you can find.

In the summer, with RH in the 70's it takes me about 2 weeks to dry. In the winter, RH is in the 20's and dry in 5- 7 days.
The key to low RH drying, imo, is to jar early. And juggle buds from bags to jars for a couple days, to ensure a slow finish.

Afternoon chaps,

I went in my tent this morning to check on my buds and found a lot of them to be seriously dry, which is a bit of a gutter! . Temps have been low as -3oC here the last few days or so, RH droppped to 20%. I had been checking on them daily since sunday and yesterday they still felt pretty damp.

They have been removed from the brown paper bags and placed into glass jars with 2 x Boveda 62% humidity packs in each.

I did break up buds quite small, next harvest I will have to leave bigger. Live and learn I guess!

The weight after harvest on the Sunrise was 360g, dry weight 80g.

About an hour ago I removed the boveda packs from one of the jars and inserted my hygrometer, at the moment its showing 58%, will give another hour and see what its saying. Maybe not as bad as initially thought?

This is to the T what I do!!! nice one!!! :pass:I love to dry in the winter!!

My hygrometer has now been in the jar 8hrs + and is reading 70% RH, safe to say I haven’t over dried them as first thought! Will now juggle between jars and brown paper bags as per the advice of you chaps. Hopefully achieve a nice slow cure.

Glad I jarred them when I did though, they dried so quick! I double lined the brown paper bags, but obviously not thick enough!
