Dinafem Dinafem White Cheese (1st grow)

Thanks ebcrew for your personal experience..... I have heard so many bad things that can happen but like you said I may still need more later.... but I will def on my second run not be using the same soil mix so I'm able to regulate exactly what and at what levels the ladies are getting... Thanks for your response hope you sub and stick with me through through this with your past experience with the same medium I'm sure it will be helpfull

You are on the right track Atrain. You obviously are doing your research and there will plenty of help here on AFN. I am new too and stress like crazy about my babies. You will have a big jar (or three) of bud before you know it.
You will be surprised at how hardy they are. More is less when it comes to feeding, watering, etc... Your doing good by focusing on the environment.

Just one note on RH...While most think 50 or 60% is "optimal" (I personally think 70% would be considered too high)
I think there are benefits to having to deal with lower RH%'s...Southwest Colorado? 18-30% RH and I have never
experienced issues that I can attribute to less than optimal RH levels. Plus, the risk of mold and bud rot are greatly
diminished. And the pots dry faster allowing for more wet/dry cycles. I would much rather be under and have to move
up, than be over and have to fight my way down...

just my 2 cents.

You got this :)

hey atrain. I recommend not feeding them at all in mg soil, unless they show sign's of needing some. I too grew some photo period plant's in MG soil. most did well but any additional feed burnt the leaf tip's. keep doing what your doing as your plant's look great.and I'm with Trapper on the RH.py growing ;)

Thanks for all the input from everyone it def is greatly appreciated.... I hope all of you sub to this one and stick it out with me.as for the rh I'm going to let it run over night and see where it settles at Tom if it raises it to a level over 50 percent I will most likely remove it. If it settles around there maybe a tad higher I'll leave it until I see signs of budding then remove it. I def will want it lower during budding and may even remove it sooner now that you have raised the root rot concern I'm so worried that will happen and ruin one or more of my plants.... and you are correct I worry bout these things like crazy up and down the stairs all day

A little more about this grow.... I don't even smoke or intend on smoking...... but I did a long long time ago, job restrictions hold me back now, my wife however has decided to try cannabis to help her military related symptoms and she has had a major improvement, but at 20 a gram for anything worth smoking in my area I'll go broke trying to afford it so I have chosen this path.... Thanks to all more updates Tom.

It has been my experience that once the plant is larger, budding, feeding more and transpiring more moisture...the RH spikes.
So by staying dry, you hit your high marks (via the spikes) more frequently.

Good for you on growing the meds for your wife...now you'll be able to fine tune what works best for her
and know exactly what's in it :)

I'll follow along :)

it's alway's better to grow your own meds. when you buy overpriced g's, your not sure what you get or what's in it. we are here for you bro

Thanks kingjuba it is greatly appreciated

Day 12
The humidifier has the rh at 35 percent temp is at 78 degrees so I think I'm gonna let it run until flowering begins.

Ok I have a few more questions after getting a ph meter today
Did a little test on my tap water straight from faucet and it reads 7.3.... but the water I let sit and evap chlorine and get to room temp reads at 8.1 ph. I tested the soil and the soil ph is still around 7 (analog meter). Should I use ph down to get my room temp bubbled water to a more execrable range and use it or just go straight from faucet to pot? And what is the most desirable ph when watering plant.
