New Grower Dinafem Blue Cheese Auto

Just got a little bonus from work so autopot system officially ordered

I also purchased a little 80gph submersible pump to put in bottom of res to keep nute solution moving. I'm guessing these systems help prevent your soil from packing in the pot like what happens from top watering?
you wont regret it pal and yes i have had no issues but i always would put some clay pebbles at the bottom the perlite may work great but i haven't used it personally also i use a small pump myself

Woot! Congrats, man. Consider me pre-subscribed to your next grow...

Haha thanks. Should be an interesting system. Just a shame I can't grow in coco since I'm not home daily to water.
But pro mix will work just fine for me. And the pot size alone should make for big plant. I'll have to be vigilant in my training to keep it low.

Since I don't have clay, first grow will be with perlite in bottom since I have a big bag of it lol.

I'd go that route in a heartbeat, but due to the need to keep things stealthy, I can't have a reservoir out and about.

I'm definitely reading up and considering living soil for my next grow though just due to the fact that I've got a career change coming up and my time may not be as free in the near future. Things to ponder...

Autopot systems only work once root system is established. So you still have to hand water at the start for first couple weeks or so.
But when running pro mix its a 5 gallon pot so should still grow a pretty big plant for myself. As soon as I harvest current grow ill be doing another blue cheese in the auto pot

Yeah I'm looking forward to it as well. I've wanted an autopot since before my first grow. Hopefully it'll turn out well. Though I'm sure there might be a little bit of a learning curve for it. But that's part of the fun. I'll definitely have to train low and flat since I'm pretty sure a 5 gallon pot would grow a plant way bigger then the height of tent could handle. But now that I'm following your training technique that shouldn't be much of a problem.
