New Grower Dinafem Blue Cheese Auto

..dude I snapped a branch on one of those FS....I thought it was ok and I looked today and its grown haha.....she is just shakin it off tho...tough little ladies these gals haha......and don't worry about the autopot @St. Tom will guide you thru:pass:

Lol you didn't snap it you just super cropped it . I snapped a branch on my second grow. Mine didn't recover lol.
And yeah everyone on here is so helpful. I'm sure I'll have lots of advice come autopot time. Luckily I've been researching them for a while so I won't be going into it totally blind. The only thing I don't have is an air dome for it. But there not totally necessary. I'll just mix my medium very light with lots of perlite. Keep her fast draining and full of air pockets. Hopefully that will help with the beginning hand watering portion since I have to dose my young plants pretty heavy with water compared to most to last the two days I'm gone at a time. With the smart pots it was never an issue since they breath so well. But the autopot isn't a smart pot so hopefully I can mix my medium light enough that I won't suffer any over watering issues. I'll find out when the time comes. With any luck that 5 gallon pot will hold enough moisture to get it through the initial important seedling phase. Since I'll be popping my seed right into the autopot. But I've always believed that over watering at any stage isn't an issue as long as you have a light enough mix with lots is airation. I figure 50/50 pro mix /perlite mix should do the trick

well good day to everyone! update time :).

It would apear that my plant is looking better today. it was still a little droopy early this morning, but lights had only been on for a couple hours. i also gave a watering this morning as well. flash forward8 hours and plant appears to be looking much better. il continue to monitor it over the next couple days and see how things go. the ghood news is considering everything she sure grew over the last couple days or so. quite the difference in branch stretch. also lots of little bud sites are poping up nicely. ill let he photos speak for themselves. if anyone notices anything i might be missing or still thinks there might be some issues or anything please feel free to comment. im home for 6 days or so now so ill be able to keep a better eye on things.

any and al comments and advice are welcome. at least despite whatever issues plant may have it doesnt seem to be holding back its growth. so big bonus there.

one thing ive noticed is that the leaves kind of feel a little papery and or dry feeling. i dont know if this is good or bad (maybe a strain thing) guess ill have to give it more time and continue to see how things look.

part of me is wondering if perhaps the yellowing was caused by cal/mag lockout dure to my ph fluctuation down to 5.0??. would it hurt to maybe give my next watering at 6.0ph just in case it needs to uptake a little more perhaps? or should i just leave things as are and see what happens?

Oh also, plant is 45 days old :D

i ph every watering at 5.8 on my meter. just watered this morning. think when i water again i might ph up to 6 or 6.2. just in case there was a bit of a cal mag lockout due to low ph, that might give it a chance to soak up some more from media but upping the ph a little to a better cal mag absorbtion range withought effecting plant in a negative way. but ill see how things look come next watering.

i could swear it looks like if grew a couple inches in height over past 2 or 3 days. but it might just be me. i can only compare to previous pics since i havent been measuring.

so if its still growing thats at least half the battle, right :)

alrihgt, well im home for a bit longer now so i might even give it a little water daily just to give it plenty to drink. with the smart pot i dont have to worry about over watering. so perhaps tomorrow afternoon ill give it a little top off at 6.2 and see what runoff measures at. im curious. my runoff pan usually always has a little dried residur from tap water and nutes. if i pour my runoff from this pan will that residue cause any false spikes in the ph of my runoff? i want to try and get an accurate reading. i definitly want to try and be more vigilant about keeping the ph in range. i really need one of those accurate 8 soil meters, lol. but having traouble dropping 80 bucks on it,lol. ill tell you one thing when my autopot arrives i might actually have to cut the pot down to a smaller volume. this current grow is onlt in a 2 gallon pot and its already getting pretty tall. honeslty idont know if my tent can handle a 5 gallon autopot grow, lol. might cut it down to around 3 gallon or something. ill still have a second spare pot anyway of original size.

but yeah would going to ph of 6.2 for a watering or 2 be alright?

I would try ph6 to be honest dude......and I never measure my run off:smiley1:

ph6 it will be then. i did notice later in day yesterday that all the really young, tiny leaves were all looking drooped again. seems in morning things look great then by later in day they droop. then i remembered that im running double the lighting power, so last night i raised my light from 16 inches to around 22. its now morning again and plant leaves are looking perky and good for most part. so ill see what happens through the day. maybe my light was just a little to close and leaves were getting tired from the light or something. just a theory. but ill monitor plant through the day and see if droop happens again later in the day. ill also probably be giving it more water later today or tomorrow morning. so ill run ph6 and might boost my nutes from 2ML/L to 2.5ML/L. i also have some branches that have stretched taller then a few of the others. but im not going to worry about bending any more brances or anything, just going to leave everything as is. bud sites are forming at every single node on every single branch so thats looking nice.

curious to see how these buds form over the next 30 days or so!
