New Grower Dinafem Blue Cheese Auto

yeah ive wanted to try coco, but its hard for me to find locally especially in winter, lol. and since im not home daily to water i have tended to shy away from it for something that holds moisture long enough to work with my home time schedule. i just hope ive done the right thing with bringing the ph back in balance and increasing nutes. hoping ill see improvement when im back saturday morning, if not then im stumped. i dont wanna increase nutes hgher then half strength yet in case thats not the problem. i really have no idea what this strain likes for feed, if it likes lighter or heavier nutrients. so im just sticking with the general rule of half strength fir now and see what happens. if yellowing continues tog et worse, then i guess that will be an indicator of it needing even more feed. the joys of learning what a new strain likes. all i know is it was growing strng and happy on 1/4 strength nutes until about a week or so ago. then boom constant drooping and yellowing starting to creep in. so i made the bump to half strength feed last saturday, but symptoms got worse. runoff ph was reading 5.0-5.1, so i flushed it with ph water until runoff read 5.8 then refed it half strength at 2ML/L, tested runoff and its now at 5.84. so hopefully it will improve. good news is when i get back saturday ill be home for 6 days due to christmas and what not, so ill be able to monitorit a bit better over that time frame.

Sounds like you've done the best you can for her and she'll rally back for you. Kinda like a pet dog...sometimes you wish you can just sit them down and ask them what's wrong. Is that too much to ask? Haha

You got this, bro...

i know the feeling, i hate seeing my girl go from looking super happy and healthy to suddenly looking sickly.

i want an auto pot setup so bad, was looking into them really hard. but since i live in canada the shipping alone is 80 bucks just for the one auto pot system. having a hard time justifying paying 200 plus dollars for one autopot system, lol. but honeslty i might have to look at just biting the bullet and going for it. its an amazing. how exactly does that system work in regards to feeding water. do you just mix your nute water to your specific ph range and just dump it into reseviore? i dont have a tds meter and have never really been good at understand the whole tds and ppm thing. and i know when your running a resevoir that becomes kind of important since water evaporation changes the nute range in the res. only way i could get around that i think would be if i didnt fully fill the res and changed out the water every couple days when i was home. but if im doing that then i might as well just stick with doingit the way i have been with hand watering the pot. unless im totally off base with my information
yes i just make my feed up in a large bucket type then fill my res as i only have 1 plant on the res yet the 2 blue cheese to follow on Saturday i use remo feed and thats quite ph stable and make about 20 litres up of feed and once they're all connected i will make 40 ltr and depending on the age i just use the feed schedule at half or 3/4 strength and with 4 plants in flower will last me about 5 days but boy they grow monsters autopots

What's the minimum amount you can put in the res and still have it flow properly? Since I always just grow one plant at a time making up 20 litres would be a waste. But if I could fill the res with let's say only 4 or 6 litres of water or something like that then I would definitely consider it. I just like to be able to give fresh water every couple days when I'm home. But usually those res need to be filled to a certain level to gravity feed properly. Though I could be wrong.

Yes they are gravity fed but I have mine is quite high on a stand so it's a fair bit higher than my pots you could make 5 ltr if you wanted but you only attach the pots to the res once the plants are thriving so 10 ltr wouldnt last that long .if you ever get them tag or message me i will help ya

Well with my medium I currently water every two days. If I did get an auto pot id probably still run it with pro mix so it would hold water longer. But yeah if I could just mix 5 or 6 litres, or enough to last the two days I'm away then I could save on nutes and still be able to replace res water every time I'm home to keep things nice and fresh. I'll definitely have to consider getting one. When money allows for it. (stupid 80 dollar shipping lol).

Well speak of the devil, Amazon Canada has the dual pot auto pot system for 154 dollars and free shipping. So I think I might just order it. At least I'll have a spare pot and valve.

Sadly Amazon Canada doesn't have the single pot system but I wouldn't run both pots. Since I only grow one plant at a time I would only hook up one pot and keep the second one for spare parts and such.
