Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

I get nute burn at around 1.0 EC in DWC while following VPD chart. (Does VPD need less fertilizer?)
Some strains can't even take that.
I've got an Anesia Purple Domina that can't take EC=0.8 at the 5 week mark.
Its equal age tentmate is thriving on that strength.

Not only must I use less fertilizer, but then it must often be reduced after mid-flower to avoid leaf crud.
For me, less fertilizer leads to happier, healthier plants.
If you are able to run tight VPD conditions in your tent the plants will be transpiring at the maximum rate. This in turn will pull more nutrients into the plant over a given time. So yes you can run lower PPMs and still the plant will get what it needs in volume.

The problem I have with this is it is very difficult for many to run VPD accurately. I cannot be consistent in my system. I have settled for keeping RH >40%<60% and this I can do.

That's what I do also and try to keep temps between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Dehumidifier helps allot

I’m 28 days in (grow diary here) and all the plants are loving the newest version MC in Roots Organics/perlite in autopots at 525 ppm and 6.4 pH, however tonight I just noticed some purple splotches and purple stems. Multiple plants, all at the same time, at the start of flower. Any ideas how I can adjust to keep them happy?

Many told me to use Epsom salts. I did and it did not go away. Every grow I have posted here had very red stems. I now enjoy the red color mixed with the green.

I don't see anything to worry about. If you have spots on the leaves that worries you, zoom in and post. I don't think ya need to worry about the stems currently.

Yeah red or purple stems can be genetics. Or it can be caused by colder temps (environment), or it cud be stress from too much light or not enough nutes. I usually dont worry about it tho unless the leaves look unhealthy. If the leaves look healthy I wouldn't worry.

You shouldn't get a cal mag deficiency with the new MC formula. If u do you need to up your nutes to solve it. I am starting off with 500 ppm at week 4 and going up to 640 ppm in flower at week 6 and up and it's not hurting my plants.

Yeah.....just watch the tips and back off it. I like that its easy with MC. If I didn't like organics so much,, I'd just use Roots Organics and MC................maybe Recharge a few times and that should be it.

This could be caused by several things as others have said... But judging by the leaves in the pics, the curling and the start of leaf tip burn, I'd say it's the start of an issue and should be paid attention to/watched carefully. When it's not genetic, the most common issues are ph and/or phosphorus issues. Keep in mind that 6.4 is kinda high for soil.. Ph rises as it sits, and as the soil dries.. Doesn't take much to get over 7.. Also too much calcium will lock out phosphorus.. Just things to consider/think about

Thanks for the replies/tips. It has been getting a little cooler in the tent, like 66-67ish. And I had just put in a new nute change in the autopot res (525 ppm/6.4). Needless to say, I’m watching these like a hawk.
