Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

If I may add a comment.
Using recharge is great in veg.
I usually run MC at 525, then 550 to 600ppm going into flower without recharge).
You may want to "up" your feed to a little higher ppm.
My strains start getting tip burn beyond 650ppm.

Speaking of MC and microbes, now that my grow is flowering, is there any benefit to adding Recharge or the like, or is it best to keep them slow and steady at 520ish/6.4 (in soil that is)?
Recharge is basically microbes, bacteria and molasses. This combination works together to break down the organic matter in your medium.. making nutrients available to the plant. You can use recharge from seed to harvest.. It's job or benefits won't change.. It creates colonies of microbes that break down matter and release nutrients... I'm pretty sure their website says to reduce/lower your feeds by 25% when using it because of this..

This is all great info. Thanks!

I can see the clear benefits of adding microbes for breaking down compost teas and organic top feedings, but is there a benefit with MegaCrop specifically? I ask only because I know autopots won’t take “organic” nutes generally, and that MC isn’t “organic” per se, and so I wasn’t sure if the MC nute uptake specifically would be affected by the Recharge.

By my third grader level understanding of nutes and biology, I guess I was concerned that the “chelated” (what I understand to be kind of pre-broken down or more bioavailable) nutes in MC might not benefit from breaking down from the Recharge bugs, as organic compounds would.

Seems like it can’t hurt, and if I do employ it, dial down the PPMs a bit first, just in case. Or, failing that, just up the base PPM to 600ish. I appreciate the insight!

Yes there should be a benefit to adding microbes, fungus and mycorrhizae IF the soil does not have a healthy biome already. These bio-stimulants enhance the plants ability to intake nutrients. It will only change the chemistry of the nutrients in a good way. The molasses will actually feed the plant and I generally reserve that for the last two weeks prior to harvest when the plant stops sharing with the microbes.

Good question!
Couldn't the Recharge cause the girls to uptake too much nutes, especially if you're running close to the max?
I use recharge and it can. Read your plants and back off nutes if tips start to burn. I use MC and recharge only with success in soil. Starting my first coco grow also with MC and I'll be using recharge here and there in coco as well. I used to use recharge in hydro dwc also. But I used GH flora trio nutes back then.

I have no answer for that. Curious if anyone has used that with MC.

EDIT: Guess that's been answered!

Jumped on the train, waiting on 2 part to get here and I plan to switch from advanced nutrients. I've read this whole thread and hoping I have better luck than some of you lol. I feel like I learned a lot already and I haven't asked a single question. :D

I got this 2 part schedule from another forum but I plan to give it a shot in my next grow.

Honestly, I was sold after I saw this guys post. Don't know which MC he was using but the 2 part wasn't out at the time so it couldn't have been that. He got 490g in 62 days off of a mephisto sour crack which is known to be a small and fast strain.

yep MC is that good we are placing a very big order for the MC 1 Part , and just about to sort the 2 part out in bulk with customs/Bio Security ..
Been testing on crops (Veges) and it works wonders...
One of the best nutrients for cannabis as well.. cheap ,simple and does as it says -

Iam going on my third year of mega crop it is all I use besides Miicrobial mass and Iam digging the size and lushness of my plants I never came close to the size of plants i can grow with M,C, that I grew with advanced nutrients I always burn them or they tasted like crap and bud factor x cost more for a liter than 22lbs of MC lol and it has better chitosan then bud factor x go figure and PENNIES A FEED

Great to hear @F.N. ! Nice looking plants there!
Few quick questions if you don't mind.
Autos or Photos? And what version are you using now and what does your feed schedule look like?

I've seen talk around here using Microbial supplements and it's something I haven't dabbled in. They are usually on the pricey side but if they make a big difference it could be worth it, especially with the low cost of MC.
Gotta see how you do with the Jorge's Diamonds dude . First strain I grew and I've never seen another grower run it. Great sweet smoke so so delicious, smooth like honey :smokeit: you got a forest there man amazing
I use a 115 liter container and ten heaping table spoon fulls of MC and Miicrobial Mass pro every two weeks as prescribed . Miicrobial Mass is better then mammothP and Tribus and is Canadian and not as expensive that is all I use for feed i do not have one leaf burn tip in the whole grow and it is for photos and autos I use the same regiment. I use no Cal mag or any other supplement there is no need M.C. has everything you need and if applied at the right rates is the best nutrients I have ever used. I will never deviate from MC.
