CS - 1st timer questions. How to time it? Better to reverse half a plant and pollinate it?

@Robg1808
Very hard to source in europe. I tried before and failed miserably. CS is also hazard-less to manipulate , except if you try to smoke CS bud

Quick update… I'm almost out of CS and my silver bars haven't arrived yet. Day 38, absolutely no sign of male parts. Buds are CS-burnt, yet keep on developing and fattening. I'm almost about to call it it a monumental failure, but well … might as well go the full mile until the bottle finished in about 3 or 4 days

I can run the plant normal if im just taking pollen. But if im selfing, ill pollenate 1 branch, harvest the rest on schedule, and then let that branch go till the seeds are ready. Normally an extra week or 2 will suffice. Sometimes theyre ready super fast. Sometimes they take that full 8 weeks. Varietes...

I just had a thought. I'm running 24/0 for the first time ever. Could it be the strong LED lights nuking the CS? Do you spray lights on, or lights off ?

I personally run 18/6. I spray around 2 hours after lights on and an hour or so before lights out. Thats not planned for a reason or anything, its just when i go in there.
I cant see where the lights would be an issue, but ive never really researched that either.

Trying to diagnose that

2. What does it look like?
When first made Colloidal Silver is clear, like water. Up to 36 hours later it develops into a light gold colour. As time goes on this colour darkens to a lovely gold colour. Colloidal silver should not be taken if it has a blue/black or pink appearance. This means it has been exposed to sunlight or has been contaminated in some way.

6. How do I store my Colloidal Silver?
It is absolutely essential to store your Colloidal Silver in a dark place as Colloidal Silver is light sensitive. A bathroom cupboard, bedside drawer or pantry with a door, are all ideal places. Do not store Colloidal Silver in the fridge.

There are three basic factors you need to be aware of:

Factor #1: Bright Light

First and foremost, colloidal silver needs to be stored out of bright light.

That’s because prolonged exposure to bright light causes silver particles to oxidize, then lose their electrical charge and fall out of suspension, dropping to the bottom of your storage container.

I only lightly mist them. I find more and it shows damage. Sometimes I only get slight leaf curling etc. Maybe they turn a tad yellow but that's it. Spray less heavily.

Well I'll be damned!

So I stopped with theCS about a week ago, I gave up essentially. Today, this

Today is day 45 from seed, and I haven't been monitoring closely for a few days now, so nanners showed up between day 40 and today. I almost killed them as they can't be smoked, so happy I didn't :smoking:

I have however another seedling going that I topped on the first node and training, and spraying one side since about day 10. Will be cool to compare.

Woo-hoo!! :headbang:

I sprayed a ghost toof branch once decided I didn't want to reverse it.

Midway through flower it did the same thing. Threw only 3 or 4 nanners and I couldnt figure out why for the longest time lol. Then it hit me. The stuff works.

Oh wow, that is interesting. But can you give us some more specifics? How soon did you start spraying, and for how long?

I always spray as soon as the branch I pick has grown one node from main stalk. So I can isolate in my hand as I mist it.

I don't think there is really a specific time frame. Some plants are really stubborn and take longer. CS works, you just have to stick with it. I normally spray a branch when I see the first sign of sex, but my next run I'm going to try CBgrowers method and spray even earlier next time.

I run 24/0 under multiple different strong led's.
