Not sure if I agree about not using a fan. Yes, a strong fan could dry them out too quickly but air circulation is needed, especially if in an enclosed area. Otherwise there is a risk of possible mold or mildew.

Dry ice hash/kief is easy to make, even for a beginner. Save your trimmings and use those. All your really need is a fine mesh like a bubble bag or a piece of silk screen, and a chunk of dry ice. Use the resulting kief to make butter and save the buds to smoke.

Yes defiantly need air movement I meant no fans blowing directly on the buds I've made that mistake and have had hay weed

Bseals-

Ok. I will put my fan in the closet, but point it in the opposite direction. hope I have more luck with next run of KVS. I had 1 out f 3 sprout and the 1 is missing one of its round leaves and i think it may die. Got 3 more coming.

I know the feeling out of the first 3 kvs I had one make it . And out of the second pack 2 made it but one was stunted but all is good and good luck with the ones on the way

My replacement KVS seeds came in. They sent me a mug and two extra Skunk #1 photos plus the ne they shorted me. Got my AKR hanging in the closet going on 2.5 days. Figure by Friday they will be ready for the jars. Got my fan in there blowing pretty god but directly at the wall away from them. Tad bit of wet hay smell, but maybe thats normal?? If I gently touch one of the buds it leaves a pleasent little funk that maybe I can bring out with a lengthy cure. Man do they shrink.

Exciting times. They will smell better as they cure and the chlorophyll dissipates. That's what's giving it that hay smell now.

OK thanks Muddy. I thought perhaps I did something wrong since they did not reak of kind.

As long as they dry slow and you vent them daily once in the jars, they should be fine. It's when they dry too fast that they tend to lock in that hay smell. Takes a good month of curing to really bring out their true smell.

Muddy-

I think I have a problem. My Humidity on my Dry room was at 31. So I decided by reading Thai curing guide that I would let mine hang for 4 days. Today is the 4th day and my dus seem extremely dry. Should I pick up some Boveda packs and put them in the jars? Any help as I think the buds may be to dry.
