If they are to dry you can always stick a fresh bud in the jar or a piece of a orange peel and they will be fine in a day or so

Before you do that, try snapping one of the stems. See if it breaks off or just sort of snaps and bends over. There's probably enough moisture in the stems that once they are in the jars it will rehydrate the buds.

They were pretty dam dry. Guess living in AZ might require some tweaking of Thai curing on my end. Humdidity at nearly 30 % should have been 4 days dry. I let them go another day beyond that. Well I got (3) Jars worth of smoke. My lady put in wet paper towels in the bottles hoping the buds would abosrb some of the added moisture. It appears to have worked for the most part. Need to study how long to leve them in jars before burping for the 1st time and how long for lid off.

You just need to open the jars long enough for the gases to escape and to change the air. If they are packed in the jars tight, you might want to lay them out on a tray for a few minutes, then back into the jars. I like to smell mine as soon as I open the jars. At first the will smell odd but as they cure that smell will be replaced by the smell of good, cured bud. Have you taken a taste yet?

Yeah I have. Was not that great. Hopefully after a week or two of cure they will get some taste to them. They have only been in jars for a bout a day or so. Should I remove the most papertowel at this point.

If the buds feel moist again, yes I'd remove it. Don't want too much moisture to the point they might get moldy. If I get some that is a little too dry I spread it out in a tray on my work bench when it's raining and the humidity is high. A day like that and it's rehydrated.

Finally put the jars to the scale test. 158Grams dry. Not too shabbey. I think if Kush came to shove I could get by smoking it. Not sure I will put down the Norcal genetics just yet, but 5+ ounces aint to shabbey. What type of color differnce could one exepect by growing Hydro. Been looking at the Ebb and Gro now that I have caught the bug. Hear they flood kind of easy.

Sorry, I can't help you out on the hydro. I'm looking at some systems myself but have yet to take the plunge. I'm sure someone else will be along who can help you on that one.

It's going to be really hard to tell. I am fortunate to haev friends wth access to the Emerald Triangle quality genetics (0: I am hoping for high quality regular after about 3more weeks. This was my first try so in future grows I hope to have more compact bud structutre.
